Each month we'll be adding a photo(s) of New Members introduced at our Monthly Meetings. We start the page with those introduced at the April 2006 Members Meeting. To access the new page (requires Members Only password):

from the Home Page click on the: "Members Only" link, -then- "Members web sites & Directory (& photos)" link (this is where you're prompted to logon), -then- "New Members (photos)"

At long last we've migrated to our new internet server. While the new server has more redundancy and a new operating system, it doesn't like our [eBCHog] broadcast system. We'll be working to rectify this as soon as possible but because of the complexity, it may take time or even require switching to a commercial service. We appreciate your patience.

March 2004:

Over the last few months, several members have reported that they are no longer receiving broadcasts from the [eBCHog] robot, or that the body of the message is blank. What we’re finding is that many ISP’s have implemented SPAM filters.

If you have not been receiving Broadcasts, find where your SPAM filter settings are and where your SPAM is (temporarily) dumped. Most likely, you’re going to find your [eBCHog] broadcasts as well as other eMail you’ve been waiting for. The next thing you need to do is alter your SPAM filter settings. I can’t tell you the various options employed and you may have to experiment. There may be a “White List” where you can add addresses of anyone you want to insure is not filtered, and if so, add bikers@buckscountypahog.org or if it allows a domain, add “buckscountypahog.org”, “buckshog.org” and “balford.com”.

About those "Friends of Pennypack Park". On the 7/31 Coffee Ride, several people told me our "ISP" must be playing around with our web site since it was NOT Bucks HOG! Could it be a hacker, terrorists!? Wellllllllll, no, I goofed. Although BC HOG is nearest to my heart (no kidding), I do edit several other web sites. Wednesday afternoon I had made some changes to the FOPP Home Page and then accidentally uploaded it to the wrong server. The question was then, should I race home and correct my mistake or join the Coffee Riders? Obviously I made the *RIGHT* decision ... and I hope those who stayed home Wednesday night enjoyed Pennypack Park. :8)

Photos added to photo page (InterClub Rally and Brian's HOG Roast) and new page added for benefit of new members who don't know what to expect on coffee or breakfast rides.

This years Directorship has committed to filling our calendar especially with chapter based events where we can all have fun together. Your help in creating and organizing these events is invited!

Happy New Year! A few new photos have recently been posted to the Photos page. As soon as I have one or two photos taken in the new year, the present Photos Page will be replaced with a Page for 2002. This is to expedite the loading of images on the page(s). If the page just continues to grow, it would take forever to get to the older photos. Instead, links will be placed at the top of each years Photos page to drill down to previous years photos so you can continue to enjoy and remember the old photos as wll as the new!

The "Bridges of Bucks" pages are being further enhanced. The story as first posted was a little weak on directions. I'm in the process of following the route myself and building a new linked page with Turn by Turn directions and mileage between each bridge. The project has become something of an obsession and I hope this will be the "Final Chapter" so I call it finished! :8)

December 2001:

Congratulations to our 2002 elected officials!

An excellent map of Bucks County has been added to the web site. You've may have seen this map in visitor centers but thanks to Franklin Maps, we have an on-line version. This map shows significant roads along with locations of historic sites and the Covered Bridges. You'll find links to this map on the "Maps", "Covered Bridge Poker Run" and "Bridges of Bucks" (Members Only) pages.

What makes the BC HOG copy of this map especially unique, is that BC HOG members can click on any Covered Bridge on the map to call up details about that particular bridge.

November 2001:

The "Bridges of Bucks" has been added to the "White Papers" section of the "Members Only" area. This tour covers all the Covered Bridges as written by another bike group. Added White Paper on E-ZPass.

The upcoming Battleship NJ Run (August 26), was incorrectly listed in the Newsletter as a "Club Ride". This is still a great event for a good cause, however it is *not* a Bucks HOG sponsored ride. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused.

More importantly, an entry for the August LOH ride was overlooked. There will be an August 25 ride sponsored by the Ladies of Harley. Details are forthcoming, but you can mark you calendars, now. AND REMEMBER: ALL MEMBERS (men as well as women) are encouraged to join in on LOH rides! There were more men than woman (singular, haha) on the last LOH ride, so everyone, come on out and have a good time.

Added a map by Joe H. of the region to the photos page. Joe's map makes it easy to find your way around. If you can remember route 29 you'll never get lost!

A new page has been added. The "White Papers" page (available in the Members Only section) will grow as a collection of tips, FAQs and experiences of members to help the rest of us become comfortable and maybe avoid others mistakes. It begins with tips on Trailering and Rallies.
