Sunday 11/26 was a gorgeous 60 degrees, swealing the number of Polar Bear Riders. Can you read their lips? They're saying; "WE EAT PENGUINS FOR BREAKFAST!, referring to a newly formed group of BC Riders. We heard they had departed for a nice breakfast themselves. | ![]() |
| Oh Look! There they are now! Looks like they brought some of their kids too. :8)
Bill Y. writes; "21 Penguins in all attended, including some little ones (Sidecar bikes rule for this). We made our leisurely trek to the Elk’s lodge in Flemington, NJ without losing any of our group to those Hungry ol’ Polar Bears. Harrison gets the award for the most food eaten. Man can that guy eat. A few of the Penguins decided to test their luck and try and join the Polar Bear group. We have not heard from them since. Perhaps the Bears got them." | ![]() |
| The previous day saw the season moving in to high gear at Brian's. Joel B. was there and you could have a photo with Mr. & Mrs. Claus on a Harley. | ![]() |
| Dave H. asks Ron Y. if that's a future Lady of HOG member, but Ron says she still refuses to sit on a Harley. Give her time. | ![]() |
| In Brian's lobby the MDA gift wrappers were at work and Moose and Mouse staffed the MDA bake sale. It looks like Moose can't get his eyes off the goodies so I hope you bought your treats early. | ![]() |

The temperatures remained in the 60's through Sunday 11/12, along with rain, forcing most of the BCH Polar Bears to hang up their furry white winter coats for the day. Four however, traded their bear coats for duck feathers and snubbed their noses at the rain. |
| Saturday November 11, Mother Nature made her contribution to the Red Cross Shelter which resulted in a record turn-out for the annual BC HOG "Charity Begins at Home" Ride. So many bikes that a backup ensued as we entered the shelter parking lot. | ![]() |

The show closed with Santa and Mrs. Claus on the runway. The Webmaster ponders how she doesn't look like the Grandmotherly Mrs. Claus of his childhood recollections. He wonders if this might be Mistress Claus!? :8) (Al G. Photo) |
| Sunday October 29 was the kick-off of the 2006-07 Polar Bear season. 22 bikes made the trip to the Cape May VFW, 18 of which continued with the group to lunch on some Moo Shu Pork at our favorite Chinese eatery. | ![]() |
| Saturday October 28 was the annual HarleyWeen Party at Brian's HD. Jackie and Marissa C. danced their way upstairs where you could make a donation toward the MDA Cafe. | ![]() |
| "Mouse" and Julie D. are ready to help you create a nice lunch and you could help yourself to dessert or a Halloween grab bag for the kiddies. "Mouse" shows off a little tail for the camera. Huh, what's wrong with what I said, she has big ears and a little tail, what were you thinking. | ![]() |
| The "Patch Goddess" was there with what has become a staff of Goddesses (is that the plural of Goddess?). It's like a barber shop but instead of bragging how many barber chairs, we say "three sewing machines, no waiting"! Lee K. displays the new electrified patch he just had sewed on his jacket. :8) | ![]() |
| Well we know what HOG stands for. We know that LOH is "Ladies of Harley", and at the Shelter Ride a couple years ago we saw some riders from YOG. (Yamaha Owners). so this must be the SOG division (Singer Owners Group)? | ![]() |
| A trio of Brian's Associates gladly lined in front of the camera to show off for the Bucks HOG web site! The frequent "scary and ghoulish" Halloween theme must have gave way to "cute and friendly" at Brian's this year! ;8) | ![]() |

October 14 & 15 marked the New Jersey Lighthouse Society's annual Lighthouse Challenge. A group of 8 started early Saturday morning arriving at the Tinicum Rear Light at 8:30am. |
![]() |
This was the third challenge this year for Wayne and Penny B., having already accomplished the Long Island and Delaware/Maryland events. The goal is to visit all lighthouses a society designates, usually between 9 and 11. You are given a token at each one visited. Challenges are free and designed to make more people aware of the historic and romantic nature of lighthouses. Donations are invited. |
![]() |
Tokens are different each year. They have been collector cards, coins and this years NJ was a puzzle. If you complete the challenge you receive a commemorative token and those completing all three (NJ, Long Island and MD/DE) receive a certificate. |
![]() |
Saturday night, we stayed at the opulent Seaview Marriot. Don't ask us why we would choose expensive accomadations for a bike trip, only one couple in our group understands it. :8) |
![]() |
A new feature this year was a "Night Climb" up the Absecon Light House. Participants received a commemorative frame that surrounds the completed puzzle. |
![]() |
From the top, a spectacular view of the Atlantic City lights and casinos. |
![]() |
Challengers may visit the lights in any order they wish and climbing is an option. Directions are provided. It's not required to spread the challenge over two days but you probably couldn't do it in one day and still obey speed limits. |
![]() |
Our last light was on Sandy Hook whose proximity has made it an opportune location for military bases dating back before the Revolution. Forts and gun batteries dot the coast. On this day they had a tour of the "cold war" era Nike Base which the girls insisted on seeing! :8) |
| Sunday October 8 was perfect weather for a Crab Run! The group having made a rest stop, we see the results of Tom B.'s extensive planning. Up front a support vehicle complete with oil service and trailing, an emergency vehicle in case anything happened. (Dave H. photo) | ![]() |
| A cactus's point-of-view (get it, POINT) of the group racing for crabs. This ride scheduled earlier in the year but postponed due to rain. Tom was afraid of a crab overpopulation if he didn't get "Fletch" down to reduce their numbers. (Dave H. photo) | ![]() |
| In case you've never made this ride, as you can see by the spotless table setting, crab eating is a very orderly, neat and tidy exercise. (Russ G. photo) | ![]() |
| Oops, I think Tom overheard my "slight" exaggeration about tidy crab eating is. (Russ G. photo) | ![]() |
| Yea, I was only kidding as Pat P. proves when it comes to crabs, you can't be neat in what you eat. (Russ G. photo) | ![]() |
| Talk about torture... the crab fest is in full swing at the far side of the table, but down at this end they'll have to make due with the crabs snapped on the digital camera screen. (Tom B. photo) | ![]() |
| "Fletch" invited a couple he's known for years, Ray L., and his wife Peggy. "Fletch" claims Ray is a "Big-Time" crab eater, but for the moment, Peggy can't help admiring our expert at work. "Fletch" adds: "I thought if I'm indulging crabs for 4 hours, I might as well bring my strongest competition, so I'd be assured of somebody to come home with!" (Russ G. photo) | ![]() |
| But as Dave knows now, it's not good to leave crabs within "Fletch's" reach. No sooner did Dave have some tender crab meat exposed, when "Fletch" swooped down like a seagull and stole it right out of his hands! (Tom B. photo) | ![]() |
| Dave writes; "Eventually everyone was done except "Fletch" and his buddy Ray. People hung around for a while and eventually the group left about 2:30. I stayed with "Fletch", Ray and Peggy, as they continued to consume crabs at a feverish pace. Ray finally quit a little before 4 pm and "Fletch" had won. We left about 4 pm. (Russ G. photo) | ![]() |

| Sunday October 1 was set for the annual Fall Finders Run, our last Signature Ride of the season. Unfortunately the 9:30 - 11am registration time-frame presented rain. Here we have Joe H., the first and one of the very few who risked getting wet, with a contingent of volunteers behind the table, eager to sign him in. | ![]() |
| It worked out good for Joe though. With little competition, he walked away with all the days prizes. In these two frames he embraces his new Harley mini-frig. and the grand prize, a 2007 touring bike. | ![]() |
| Here he is with third prize a "wall of chrome", and arm fulls of motor clothes. | ![]() |
| Later we caught Joe outside with friends in the sun which arrived promptly as registration closed, alongside his model "Z18" Harley (with matching license tag)(and tour pack filled with the $5,000 cash, second prize). Not may people are familiar with the FLHZ18 model because they only make a few each year with those chrome-like rims. | ![]() |
| The previous evening "Moose" guided a group to Bristol Bike Nite. PS, if you're still stewing about all the prizes Joe H. won, it's all just in fun. Participation didn't warrent the Fall Finders run so it was cancelled due to rain. | ![]() |
| We couldn't help noticing this bike in the show. How tall do you suppose the rider is to reach those handlebars. More disturbing is what's in store for the passenger if they ever hit a bump in the road with that narrow seat. :8) | ![]() |
| Brian's HD sponsors Bristol Bike Night, where we caught "Candy", Brian's Motorclothes manager checking out her display. Speaking of displays, if you haven't been to Brian's lately you'll be amazed at the jam packed selection they have now. Candy has been doing an incredible job expanding the department. | ![]() |
![]() |
All the contributions our chapter has made to the American Red Cross in Levittown has not gone unnoticed. At the September meeting, representatives from the RC honored BC Hog for their contribution as a "Good Neighbor". |
![]() |
On the other side of contributing is Norm Keller and East Penn Biker Magazine who along with volunteering during the annual Bike Show, draws attention to our events and Brian's HD. |
![]() |
Rob McC. was presented a commemorative T-Shirt for the rides he conducted during Brian's HD trip to WV. You see many members aren't aware that Rob is known to forget to get off the bike once he starts riding. He's an accountant you know so when he offered a ride for about an hour, it meant all day. |
![]() |
We said so-long to "Flea" who is planning on moving soon. While we expect him to stay in touch, he will be moving out of our neighborhood and closer to another Hog chapter. |

What did you do over Labor Day? For those of us who could not ride (not just due to the torrential down pour on Saturday) a trip to OCC was the call of the day. Ken S. and Skip N. in one picture pose with...could it be? Pauley Sr. himself? No, unfortunately it was just a poster. (Ken S. photo) |

| The Bucks County Chapter of HOG is 20 years! On August 26, 2006 we celebrated the milestone with a party at Mermaid Lake in the "Tennis" pavilion. | ![]() |
| Volunteers showed up early. Pam and Jim S. are fond of Peugeots, as well as Harleys, and despite the days theme, had a number of items that just wouldn't fit in a saddlebag. Wayne B. didn't really come in this train, but it was there and Kate H. had his camera. | ![]() |
| 20th. Anniversary Committee Chair, Pam S., reviews last minute details with Penny and Tom B.. | ![]() |
| And here comes the 20th. Anniversary Ride winding around the Lake. The group departed Brian's HD at 10am VIA an extended, commemorative tour through Bucks and Montgomery Counties. | ![]() |
| The folks at Mermaid Lake allowed us to park bikes (and trains) on the hardtop adjacent to our pavilion. | ![]() |
| Members line up to be checked in at registration. | ![]() |
| And the long line of participants wound out the back of the pavilion. | ![]() |
| Once registered, each member received a limited edition pin, T-Shirt, and a substantial cash refund on their ticket. Vicki B. seen here handing out packets also won the tattoo contest, later that day. | ![]() |
| There was plenty to do throughout the sprawling park. There was miniature golf, playgrounds, volleyball, tennis, ping-pong... | ![]() |
| There was a full size pool and water slides, 9 hole golf course and arcade & game room... | ![]() |
| There was basketball and lots of trees to play Hide-N-Seek around (Huh?, you say you don't think he's playing Hide-N-Seek?) ... | ![]() |
| And we were with our friends just enjoying the day together, and ... and ... whatever that is Rob is doing. Looks like a tutorial on nose picking? :8) | ![]() |
| There was a very good buffet with Salad, Burgers, Dogs, Chicken, Corn and trimmings. I could have predicted who'd be first in line. | ![]() |
| But there was plenty of food and it was available long enough to have for lunch and again as an early dinner. | ![]() |

| "Moose" and Dan McC. enjoy a game of Simon Says. The last call was; "overdress for a biker event and hop on the table", which Dan appears to have won, however with a game name like "Simon" Says, I think "Moose" has it in the bag. Actually, the guys are preparing to say a few words about the event. | ![]() |
| Donn J. (L) and Chic V. (R) each told of the early organization and how the club has evolved over the last twenty years. Donn and Chic are two of the original Charter Members who started the club. | ![]() |

| The Charter Members have everyone's attention. The 20th. Anniversary Committee did a superb job in creating this interesting day at an entertaining venue. A fun time was had by all. | ![]() |

On Sunday, August 20th, the Red Knights sponsored their annual Fallen Firefighter Poker Run. Bob "Junior" K. who belongs to both BC Hog and the Red Knight's (the big guy in the background) helps out with registration. |
![]() |
The first card stop was the Hightstown Fire House, in New Jersey. |
![]() |
This ride is unique in that each card stop is at a different Fire House. |
![]() |
Several groups of BC Hog members attended this event. The club hoped to take the "Best Represented" trophy, a huge one which Bob "Junior" had brought to a recent BCH meeting to generate support. |
![]() |
Many of the BCH members met up at the Bordentown station. |
![]() |
Besides the Poker Run, there were contests, biker games, and plenty to eat including burgers, dogs, corn, pork roll and this fellow who was good enough to come by for dinner. He must have been riding all day - look at that tan! |
![]() |
Here's the Bucks County HOG members at the 2006 Red Knight Poker Run. |
![]() |
Oopps, sorry about that, the camera zoomed in on the "Bud Girls", all by itself. Here's another photo of the BCH attendees. |
![]() |
And yes, Bucks County HOG took the trophy for Best Represented. The Director from the Red Knights upon presenting the trophy at the Monthly Meeting remarked how this was the second time this year he saw Bucks HOG being honored as Best Represented. Actually, there were two prior ones, Burlington HOG and the Endless Mountain Tour. |

Is it time for the semi-annual Brian's Fashion Show already? |
| Remember the MDA auction at Brian's HD on March 31? No?! How 'bout; Remember the night that Michelle Smith was at Brian's? The grand prize was a trip hosted by Brian B., and won by TJ B. and Wayne B. Penny B. was responsible for getting us to the airport on time, so here we are enjoying our first 5 hours after missing our flight. Brian had surprises in store though, look at the bike he rented for TJ and Vicki. It matches her hair! | ![]() |
| Just kidding about the bike but Brian knew TJ and Wayne idolize a particular BC Hog member so Brian rented a pair of Black Road Glides so we could emulate our hero. Funny thing, as soon as TJ got on, he started looking for the 'included' Battery Tender and Wayne started calling everyone "Ivan". | ![]() |
| Having lost the better part of Saturday at the airport (Thanks Penny), we headed straight to South Lake Tahoe where we'd be spending the first night. "Straight to" only referred to the direction because it didn't take long from Reno to be surrounded by scenic views. | ![]() |
| Our second day, Sunday, we headed back north to loop around the entire lake past rustic and Swiss themed towns. A short detour up Rt 89 to the Squaw and Olympic Valleys, home of the 1960 Winter Olympics, and the torch is still burning at the entrance! | ![]() |
| Brian took us on the cable car to the top of the mountain. Getting Penny on was a feat in itself since she previously would never ride in an aerial car of any kind. Interesting that the mountain top was 8200 feet but the next day we would be riding along roads at 9600 feet! | ![]() |
| From the top, we could see Lake Tahoe in the background and yes, at 8200 feet, we could make our own snowballs in August. Also at the top was a complete resort including a pool side bar and a pool to go with it, or visa versa. | ![]() |
| Back on the ground, the scenery and roads just kept getting better. When was the last time you saw "S" curves cautioning a speed limit of 60mph (inset)? | ![]() |
| Our stomachs had to growl until 3pm since Brian had suggested lunch at "Walker Burger". It's the kind of little 'joint' along Rt 395, you'd probably just pass by if not having been highly recommended. Beside their great burgers, they have a quaint little picnic area out back nicely scaped and surrounded by fountains. | ![]() |
| Sunday night Brian had us booked in condos at Monmouth Lakes. The condos surrounded a very unique pond, pool and spa area, with outdoor fireplaces to dry ourselves after relaxing in the hot tub. A sign said that the fireplace area was a great place to tell scary tales at night. I guess that's why Wayne's hair is standing on end. | ![]() |
| The condo was at the base of the Devils Postpile National Park. We didn't want to take the 3 hour bus to the Postpile but the view from on top was magnificent! Now in California, there was a sign which would help convince us to return home someday. $4.19 a gallon! | ![]() |
| Like I said, the roads and views just kept getting better and better the further we rode. | ![]() |
| But we hit the epic of scenery by entering Yosemite National Park. I'm only saying 'scenery' though because the best riding was yet to come. | ![]() |
| Breathtaking! It looks almost like a painting and even then, the photo may be worth a thousand words but the lens offers no comparison to what the human eye sees. | ![]() |
| Penny especially likes waterfalls so while we were snapping the previous photo, Brian was mapping the next few hours of experiences. Little did we know, evil was lurking in the Classic Electra Glide parked at the base of these rocks for the fork locking pin had broke and dropped down locking the forks. Penny offered, if Brian could remap his tour to include only sights to the left ... :8) | ![]() |
| There is no cell service in the middle of Yosemite and the nearest dealer was about 80 miles away. This could have ruined the rest of the trip but you can't do better than to be with your Dealer! Brian was able to free the forks and hot wire the bike so we could continue, and Penny could see some wonderful waterfalls. | ![]() |
| We lunched at Yosemite's Premiere lodge, the Ahwahnee, built in 1927, a National Historical Landmark and one of the most distinctive resort hotels in North America. We teased Brian because he promised after the late lunch at Walker we wouldn't eat that late again, but with the motorcycle breakdown, we were just sitting down at 3pm. | ![]() |
| Monday night, reservations were at the picturesque, historic Murphy's Hotel whose town dates back to the Gold-Rush era, and where we ate, drank, and were merry, followed by cigars and recollections of other great rides. Brian's extensive travels of the western states provided us with indescribable memories of roads and places we visited. | ![]() |
| Brian saved the best for last. Route 4 starts out innocent but past Lake Alpine narrows into the most technically challenging road encountered. Tight twists and turns along cliffs with 25% grades thrown in for good measure. I couldn't manipulate the camera and bike simultaneously so the photo is of a slightly simpler road. Along the way, Penny and TJ try to construct one of those mysterious piles of rock common in the west. | ![]() |
| Our last stop was Virginia City, world-famous for the Comstock Silver Mining District, founded in 1859. Wayne could spend days hiking around the old tipples of the heyday, preserved by the optimum weather conditions. Vicki and Penny found riches of their own in the Bucket of Blood saloon and casino. | ![]() |
| Vicki also did a little lingerie shopping at the local Biker Saloon. Unfortunately all really fantastic, wonderful, exciting, stupendous trips have to come to an end and as Brian points to Reno in the not too far distance, we can't believe how fast four days have passed. | ![]() |
| After we returned the bikes to "Sal", Reno's amicable Rentals Manager, Brian taxied us to the Nugget Hotel & Casino where we'd spend our last night. There in the pool we were surprised to see a Polar Bear splashing under a waterfall. Oopps, sorry, that's TJ. Brian had one more surprise though, four personal spa tubs, one for each of us! | ![]() |
| Prior to more gambling well into the next morning, we enjoyed one last dinner together. Brian just noticed the paper on Wayne's sleeve (see inset on chair back). A feeble attempt so Brian wouldn't realize Wayne didn't buy the shirt at Brian's HD. :8)
For a nominal donation to MDA, Brian B. offered a first-class tour of some of the most scenic areas of Nevada and California. It was a bargain in contrast to the air fare, bike rentals, dining, lodging and entertainment and we will never forget it. Plus, the proceeds go to a very worthy cause. Stay tuned for what he has in store at next year's MDA auction! | ![]() |
![]() |
Subsequent to a review of their event by Wayne B., the organizers of the Ramapo 500 suggested he try a similar ride in the PA Poconos. Rob McC. met Dave H. and Wayne in Wilkes Barre. As Rob arrived, we first thought we had just seen an Orange Orangutan riding a Harley. Fortunately for you viewers, the camera filtered much of that red chest and back hair. |
![]() |
The July 29 & 30 tour is organized by the "Back Mountain Enduro Riders" out of Dallas, PA. This was the second year of their "Endless Mountain District Tour" and in that neck of the woods, it didn't take long to start hitting some awesome scenery. |
![]() |
On the Ramapo 500, Wayne B. incurred two roads blocked by "Road Closed" signs he was able to navigate through, so when we came upon one on Saturday, we tried again. This time though, trees had taken the bridge out! |
![]() |
We enjoyed lunch in a nice pub overlooking a lake. Rob was well behaved and patiently enjoys the view while Dave selects something for Rob off the kiddies’ menu. |
![]() |
Dave's expression indicates he's getting a little annoyed with Rob. In all the excitement, Rob frequently forgot to get on his bike. He just raised his hands as if to put them on the handlebars and couldn't understand why he wasn't moving. We all had a great time throughout the weekend. We definately had more than our allotment of laughs, fun, great riding and companionship. |
![]() |
Wayne B. likes "iron horses", whether they run on two rails or two tires. He always wanted to see the world famous, Tunkhannock viaduct which the route went under, as it passed through Nicholson, PA. |
![]() |
The Saturday layover was at the Shadowbrook resort in Tunkhannock where there was swimming, bowling, golf, and field games. We skipped the activities in lieu of relaxing with the organizers of the event who were extremely glad to have us. The gent on the left is Ray P., organizer of the Ramapo 500 who suggested we try this ride. |
![]() |
This was the second year for this event but word hasn't gotten around yet, so there was an abundance of prizes. On left, Dave and Rob step up to claim the "Best Represented Club" (sorry members, no trophy, just gift certificates). On right, Wayne, Rob and Dave display all the certificates they won which exceeded what we paid to register! |

Rob departed Saturday night as he was leading a group on the Centurions Run. He missed the better of two days. Routes 87, 220, 42 and 487 were exceptional. We found "where the hell Forksville" is, and Dave discovered his favorite town. Wayne changes his "all time favorite road", as much as underwear. Dave still prefers the Blue Ridge Parkway but Wayne thinks Rt 87 might be a twist or turn better. |
![]() |
Most of all the trip had a lot of this ... |
![]() |
.... and this.
We promised our friends at the Back Mountain Riders, next year we'd invite even more friends to join us on this very scenic run, so stay tuned to this web site. |
| Thursday night "TJ" & "Fletch" led a group (Bobby B., Doug H., "Indian Dave", Harrison W., and me, Dave H.) to Freehold from Brians. It was crowded with lots of bikes and cars. About an hour after we arrived we started noticing some flashes in the distance so we moseyed over to our favorite Pizza place and about 1/2 hour later the skys opened up. We waited it out and the NJ contingent headed down 33 west while the PA boys headed back out to I-195. We (Jersey Boys) didn't hit any rain, just wet roads. We were jinxed because everyone had super clean bikes, Fletch's was waxed! Photo is from our secret parking spot. (Dave H. photo) | ![]() |
| A little closer to home, Brian's HD was hosting the third "Countdown with Goodnoe's" Bike Nite. | ![]() |
| With all those great bikes in the show, what do you suppose has the crowds attention? | ![]() |
| Oh yeaaaaa, it's the Atomic Sundae eating contest! MMMmmmmmmm SIX BIG scoops of that great Goodnoe's ice cream. That's like 2 pounds and it's free! All you have to do is eat it, what could be easier? On your mark ... Get set ... | ![]() |
| GO! We have some Bucks HOG family in tonight's contest. There's Jackie C. (yellow shirt) cheering her daughter Marissa (second contestant from left), and James M.'s daughter Andrea (third contestant from left). | ![]() |
| Everyone seems to have their own technique. Some use their spoons, Marissa appears to be more experienced eating ice cream off a cone, and Andrea seems to be trying to make it disappear by smearing it into her chin. | ![]() |
| Meanwhile, inside, Rob McC. apparently wouldn't be satisfied with one of those huge Sundae's so he's currently working on a Banana Split, but he's got a pint primed on the counter, a colorful parfait staged behind it, and a few dollars in a cup to buy a cone for dessert! | ![]() |
| Back at the front lines, Marissa shakes off a chill. Yes, of course it's cold Marissa, and Andrea appears to be dealing with ... with ... HEY, is that a piece of cardboard one of the other contestants is trying to sabotage her with??!! Jim, when you get home tonight, pull out those photos from her first birthday. You know the ones where she has cake smeared all over herself. I think the resemblance will be striking. | ![]() |
| The ice cream may be cold but the competition is heating up. Marissa and Andrea are cup in cup. | ![]() |
| All this little guy knows is he wants to get AWAY from those ravaging mouths. | ![]() |
| This doesn't look good. Andrea is slowing down and she looks a little pale. Oh no, I think she's going to ... HOLD ON ANDREA!! | ![]() |
| It's over. The young lady who was on the left blew past both Marissa and Andrea at the end. Dad and sis lend a hand in the clean up process. I would be real careful on the way home Jim. I would avoid any bumps, sharp turns or hills. That little lady will be a little volatile for the rest of the night. | ![]() |
![]() |
It's Saturday July 22 and the hub-bub of activity at Brian's HD is due to the Annual Bucks County HOG/L.O.H./Brain's Bike Show. |
![]() |
Despite the looming threat of thunder showers, contestants line up at registration. |
![]() |
This sign on the Street Road Dairy Queen in Warminster, no doubt contributed to the days turn-out. As if that wasn't enough, Ed, the owner of this Dairy Queen donated the food and drinks. Remember this next time your sweet tooth is calling and let Ed know we appreciate his generosity. (Elaine K. photo) |
![]() |
Elaine K. appears breathless upon winning one of the days door prizes! Just kidding but wouldn't that be a whopper of a door prize. It is Elaine's brand new trike though, congratulations! |
![]() |
Oh No! Did Moose just fall off another motorcycle? And this one is a trike and wasn't even moving! |
![]() |
Has Moose fallen and can't get up? Is he trying to use his arm for a wheel chock, what's the deal? Aha, Moose was just curious whether Elaine's new bike has independent rear suspension, and it does. |
![]() |
There was lots more to do beyond watching Moose, although he's pretty hard to miss. There were biker vendors to peruse. |
![]() |
There was activities for the kids, and the Patch Goddess is in the background customizing vests and jackets. |
![]() |
Bonnie H. demonstrated, "How to pick up a dropped bike". Now I may be stupid but why don't they just get Moose there to do it. Hell, he could pick it up with one hand! (Kathleen W-H photo) |
![]() |
One of the vendors along with Jackie C. proved that there is no magic, and anyone can pick-up even the heaviest bikes if they know the technique. (Kathleen W-H photo) |
![]() |
Of course there were bikes and lots of trophies to be awarded (lower/right inset). |
![]() |
Upstairs on the deck, "White" Richie and Dave D. were cooking up lunch. |
![]() |
Entertainment was provided by the band, "Bear's Choice". (Kathleen W-H photo) |
![]() |
Some of the event winners are; Ken S. who took 3 trophy's for, Second place "Custom Stock", winner "Ladies Choice" (Is "ladies choice" voting on the bike or the rider? Oopps, sorry Rolma, you know how the webmaster teases) and "People's Choice", along with Donna "Pixie" D. and boyfriend Richie H. who won the "Oldest" category, for his '58 Panhead Chopper. ("Pixie" photo) |
![]() |
Let's not forget the winner of the Tattoo contest. Is he wearing camoflage jeans, or is that a tattoo, too. (Kathleen W-H photo) |
![]() |
several days after the show, Lee K. presents Dairy Queen owner Ed. M. an award for his generous donation of food and drinks for the show. (Elaine K. photo) |
![]() |
The next day, a small group headed up Jersey to get a jump on the 2006-07 Polar Bears. It was the annual AMA District II Corn Boil and Pig Roast and along with a great ride, earned 2 points toward Polar Bear season. |
![]() |
Joe Holden checks out the vendors while enjoying a free adult beverage. |
![]() |
Joe, Dave, Penny and Rob are stuffed by all the roast pork, corn, burgers, and dogs. |
![]() |
Since no touring bikes had entered the bike show, Wayne B., and Joe H. give their Ultra's a quickie clean for an easy win. Our group was pretty sure Wayne B. would take the prize considering the thousands in chrome and accessories, not to mention the number of looks his bike got from the spectators. |
![]() |
They also had a dunk tank which got a lot of attention. Rob McC. and Dave H. are pretty engrossed for some reason, I wonder why? |
![]() |
Say no more, I think I see the attraction. Actually Joe H. was standing next to Rob in the previous photo but Joe bribed the WebMaster to edit him out before his wife saw the photos. |
![]() |
But Joe robbed Wayne of the Best of Show trophy. Despite his chrome, Wayne would have been better to buy a can of Mother's Paste. That's what Joe had recently used to get a prize winning shine on his wheels. Congratulations Joe! |
| Thursday July 20th, we returned to Goodnoe's Ice Cream for the second "Say Goodby to Goodnoe's, Bike Night". You couldn't tell by the large turnout they were into their third day without electricity following Tuesday's storms. | ![]() |
| Challenging as it was, "Skip" G. and Bob W. (both BCH members) were undeterred and created an old fashioned bar-be-cue for a most enjoyable evening. | ![]() |
| The Bucks HOG 20th. Anniversary Committee were invited to conduct their meeting within these doors in Goodnoe's Board Room. | ![]() |
| The lack of electricity may have nixed that idea but the committee members too, turned the negative into a positive with a nice outdoor meeting and were able to view the biker activities at the same time! | ![]() |
| Each Thursday through August Goodnoe's and Brian's Harley Davidson are sponsoring Bike Nights. Tonight's theme was antique motorcycles. | ![]() |
| Everybody had a favorite in the show. This puppy chose a beautiful Aqua Heritage Softail. | ![]() |
| This event is looking like a Bucks HOG Homecoming with many familar faces ... | ![]() |
| ... and drawing friends we haven't see for awhile like Harry and Colleen B. | ![]() |
| "Bald Jim" made it as well as "Fletch"'s wife Maria, who brought some future members. | ![]() |
| Bob W. gave us an interesting tour of the Ice Cream plant. Yes, that great Goodnoe's Ice Cream is really Home Made. | ![]() |
| Brrrrrrr, it's cold and foggy in the freezer but I can still see Bob's head reflecting in the light. :8) | ![]() |
| And three lucky contestants walked away with those huge Goodnoe trophies! | ![]() |
![]() |
Moose and Rob McC. fight over the trophy awarded to Bucks County HOG for best represented club at the Burlington HOG Poker Run. Second year in a row BC Hog takes it thanks to 77 participants from Bucks. |
| Goodnoe's Ice Cream, a 50 year landmark in Newtown PA is closing their doors in September. Every Thursday through August, they, along with Brian's HD will be hosting a different bike theme. | ![]() |
| July 13 was the kick-off. Come out and come often to see the bikes and your friends of Brian's HD, and enjoy the fun events they have scheduled. | ![]() |
| You never know who you're going to see at these events. Take the guy second from right for instance. That's BCH member Bob W. who became very involved in our chapter several years ago, then disappeared. Two years ago he showed up again, explaining how his military status sent him abroad but he was back for good. That was the last we saw him until now. Turns out, he got shipped overseas again but he promises we'll be seeing more of him. | ![]() |
| Of course another good reason to come out is for the home made ice cream and ice cream lover Penny B. excitedly displays the free coupon she happened upon, while Al D. works on a cone. | ![]() |
| Jackie C. of Brian's HD provides tips on judging. That's BCH member "Skip" Goodnoe third from left and Goodnoe manager Branden B. fourth from left. | ![]() |
| BCH Member Joel B. has a bike entered in the bike show which is getting plenty of attention. Joel is really hoping to take home one of the trophies which have Goodnoe's engraved on them as they'll soon be a collectors item. | ![]() |
| ... AND Joel gets his wish! Congratulations! | ![]() |
![]() |
Saturday July 8, the "Ride with Tom B. (Us)" series continued to the northern PA dealers. Six bikes and Riders visited five Dealers. It was a great day and while we couldn't risk slower scenic routes until the return, we put quite a dent in our "Ride with Us" cards. This photo at the Stroudsburg Dealer. |
![]() |
Outside the Dickson City (formally Scranton) Dealer, Tom, Bob, Dennis, Dave & John proudly display their new 4-wheeler (just kidding of course). |
![]() |
These photos from the Plains and Bloomsburg Dealers. Also visited this day was Parryville. Stay tuned to eBCHog for information regarding future dates for "Tag along with Tom". :8) |
| Wednesday June 21 two groups enjoyed the annual ride to the MDA/Variety Club Camp. It took TWO groups because TJ leading the first left at 6pm just like he said, not a few minutes late like us 6:10pm arrivals thought. | ![]() |
| The kids crowd in to see all the bikes, they love 'em! | ![]() |
| Doug S. was there with his "Dougsville" sidecar to give the kids rides. | ![]() |
| And Dave H. circulated offering each kid a photo with his or her favorite motorcycle. | ![]() |
| If there's any doubt whether the kids are glad to see Harleys, look at the stickers on the back of their wheelchairs. | ![]() |
| And I know I've seen a few bikers with horns on their helmets, like this kid. | ![]() |
| As usual, the kids entertain us in return with a Biker Contest. Categories are Best Bike, Loudest Bike.... | ![]() |
| Gene L. took two awards. One for longest hair (we think it may have been his resemblance to Santa Claus that swayed the judges). | ![]() |
| They lit a fire and we toasted marshmallows and had smores. I didn't know what a smore was. Now I think it's smore marshmallows, smore chocolate, smore this and smore of that. | ![]() |
| This young man said campfires are for telling scary stories and that's just what he did. | ![]() |
| The smores must have been spiked though because Jackie C. of Brian's HD was in very rare form. After this youngster tried to roast his rubber chicken, I can't say her exact expression on a family website but something about killing it by wrapping her hands around it's neck and causing it to cough to death. No I didn't tint the photo, she's realy blushing red. | ![]() |
![]() |
On Saturday June 17 a group met at Brian's for an all day ride VIA back roads to Bill's Bike Barn in Bloomsburg, PA. The Sheetz at Rts. 73 and 222 was the first rest and fuel stop for the group. |
![]() |
Just 12 miles from Bill's, "Moose" encountered bike problems causing both bike and rider to go down. Since Moose couldn't remember anything, it was suggested he get checked out at a hospital. With a few seeing Moose and his bike to safety, the rest went on to Bill's |
![]() |
Judi, Bill's wife, describes some of the museum to the group. |
![]() |
. |
![]() |
Joe "Black" headed straight for the BillVille Bar, from the New York Worlds Fair. Sorry Joe, those bottles have been empty for over 50 years. |
![]() |
Glenn D. checks out the displays from the Mezzanine. As you can see, there's something covering virtually every piece of wall and ceiling. |
![]() |
. |
![]() |
After our visit to Bill's we stopped at a Sheetz and had sanwiches custom built to be enjoyed in the Bloomsburg Town Park. |
![]() |
The Park is a picturesque setting along the banks of the Susquehanna. |
![]() |
Moose displays his scrapes from Saturday at the Monday Meeting, but fortunately nothing broken or seriously injured. |
| Dave and Kate H., along with Wayne and Penny B., traveled to Tennesee and North Carolina for the NC HOG Rally. Based in Asheville, they enjoyed the tour of George Vanderbilt's estate, Biltmore. | ![]() |
| Kate seen later that day relaxing with her favorite stogie. | ![]() |
| Kate again, enjoying the scenic rolling mountains or jumping, we're not sure. | ![]() |
| Legendary Rt. 129, aka; Tail of the Dragon, is a bikers must-do! An exhilarating 318 curves in 11 miles! | ![]() |
| The "Tree of Shame" at the end of The Tail where those who failed to negotiate a curve hang bike parts. I think Kate has stolen a piece of a Yellow Gold Wing, for Dave. | ![]() |
| The "Wheels of Time" museum in Maggie Valley houses Smithsonian Quality displays of motorcycles. | ![]() |
| We savored the World-Class roads by following the Blue Ridge Parkway and Skyline Drive home. Mabry Mill is one of the most photographed spots in the country. | ![]() |
![]() |
Sunday June 4 was Hill Climb Day at the White Rose MC Club. A small group dodged some raindrops to Manheim Twp to enjoy the day. Before departing, Dave "WingWanabe" H., shows off two more additions to his HarleyWing conversion. He super-glued a Map Pocket on his tank and one of those ball massagers (They're constructed of balls - you know what I mean) on his seat. The only thing he needs now is one of those obtrusive giant aluminum cup holders bolted to his handlebars. |
![]() |
Once at White Rose, the guys (L-R; "Fletch", Joe H., Dave H., Doug H.) pose with their favorite bike and rider. Actually she's not the rider, but she was one of their favorites, just the same. |
![]() |
The guys ponder; "What makes people want to do that?!?!". When the competition was over we discovered the road in was one-way and the only way out was up this hill. :8) |
| Saturday June 3 was the second annual Burlington Bike Night. Despite the funky weather, the event drew a huge crowd. | ![]() |
| A significant change this year was lining up the show bikes along Burlington's River Promenade. Very nice. | ![]() |
![]() |
Group Photo at Harley York Plant, Monday May 22. An even better weather day than Saturday. (Tom B. photo) |
![]() |
Saturday May 20 the group at Crystal Cave getting ready for the hike up the mountain. A really big turn out for a great day, even if it rained in the morning. A great day of riding planned by Mike H.. (Tom B. photo) |
![]() |
Do we qualify for the group discount? You, bet ah, and how about some candy. (Tom B. photo) |
![]() |
Group Photo at Crystal Cave, I wonder what gave that away. (Tom B. photo) |
| The May Members Meeting was cause for celebration. It had been a great year for MDA and the Ride for Life and the folks at Brian's showed appreciation for the Chapters contributions with some hot snacks. | ![]() |
| Rob McC. is a ticket-selling fanatic, seen here selling 50/50's but he sold a lot for the MDA event as well. Still, that's no excuse to dress like that Rob. You're a biker, not "Little Lord Fauntleroy"! The only thing that could be worse is if he wore his riding boots with those shorts, like some other geek I've heard about. | ![]() |
| But Rob gets his just rewards, along with Al D. for their dedication to MDA. Presenting their gifts is GrandPa Dan from Brian's HD. | ![]() |
![]() |
Wednesday May 10, Dave H., and John B., joined the Patriot Guard Riders on a mission to New York. Dave didn't intend to catch John in this photo, rather it's a known fact that someday he will convert to the "dark side" and it's the yellow Wing that was the subject of this photo. |
![]() |
It's been a long time since John rode this far (he has a back injury). While Dave is associated with Yellow Wings, John is associated with bungling disorganization. In true fashion, he dropped his EZPass and had to run back to recover it. |
![]() |
They met the S. Jersey group at the Cheesequake rest area on the Garden State Parkway, then rode to Brooklyn and met another group. MSNBC joined and filmed the entire day. Then to Queens for their final staging area and meet with other groups from NY, NJ and Long Island. NYPD escorted from the staging area to the church, blocking traffic the entire way with HD police cruisers, Vespia police bikes and std. police cruisers. Dave writes; "The cops on the HDs were crazy driving down the wrong way of a divided 34th street, sirens blazing to make sure we were safe". |
![]() |
Dave continues; "Arriving at the church the police had several blocks closed to traffic and parked us in the streets that were closed. Part of our mission was to shield the family of the deceased soldier from protesters from the WBC who had filed a permit to protest the funeral. This is accomplished with large american flags". |
| Thursday May 4 was the first Bike Night at Chickie and Pete's Cafe, of this season. | ![]() |
| This was a new venue for this monthly event, sponsored by Brian's Harley Davidson, and there was a tremendous turn-out. | ![]() |
| Of course the good folks of Brian's were there. | ![]() |
| As were a great number of Bucks County H.O.G members. | ![]() |
| HOG members were seen outside enjoying the fabulous weather... | ![]() |
| ...And inside enjoying some fabulous food. | ![]() |
| (L to R) Diane H., Ambyr D. (Pixie's daughter and future BCH member), Kenny & Rolma S. & "Pixie" Donna D.. (Donna "Pixie" D., photo) | ![]() |
| Kenny S. shows off his new Ultra at the Bike Show. Stay out of the line of his sight though, I think he's bringing that skull on his fairing, to life! (Donna "Pixie" D., photo) | ![]() |
| Of course a customary bike show. | ![]() |
| But as the sun went down, we were treated to some popular biker excitement, as well. | ![]() |
![]() |
Sunday April 30 was the annual Welcome Ride. But it was also the very popular Haycock Breakfast. So how do you handle that ... you get up real early have breakfast then fly back to Brian's for the Welcome Ride! Trouble is, you have to get up so early, the food may not be served yet as Dave H., Joe "Black", and Wayne B., discovered. |
![]() |
The purpose of the Welcome Ride is: A) To acquaint ALL Members and to celebrate the beginning of the another riding season (not that it ever ends for many of us) and, B) To familiarize members, particularly new riders, to Group Riding. The date is chosen so new members may join the group ride to the Ride For Life, have exposure (In the right background, we see Terry H. tucking in Little Joey "Black's" collar for the ride) :8) |
![]() |
What better way to celebrate the new Riding Season, than to have a glorious day! The ride was postponed from the previous week, due to threatening weather. It was worth the wait. |
![]() |
The club has established one of the largest brigades of Ride Captains, in it's history. That promises a well organized season. Rob McC. envisions himself as being eight feet tall. He regularly scrunches in photos. Rob, that's "Moose" and Doug S. towering behind you! |
![]() |
There were other activities on this weekend, as there usually is something going on at Brian's. The Buell team was demo'ing their fleet, with Joe H., Rob McC, and Megan Y., volunteering assistance. |
![]() |
Several groups were guided on varying routes with the destination of Petruzsky's Snack Bar at Rts. 611 & 412. |
![]() |
Table seating is available inside. |
![]() |
As with most HOG organized rides, the destination was the end of the ride. Members were on their own to head back home, while some went back to Brian's for Buell Rides and Bar-B-Que. |
![]() |
For some, the extra early breakfast at Haycock along with the Welcome Ride was about all they could handle without a nap. |
![]() |
For others, it was only an appetizer, with destinations such as Penn's Peake near Jim Thorpe providing awesome views and a late lunch followed by even more riding! |
| Here's a bit of an oxymoron. This is Cape May and a Polar Bear destination. But it's a glorious day and I don't see any electric tethers. Of course it is the last Polar Bear of the season with a great riding year ahead! | ![]() |
![]() |
Friday evening, March 31, began another event filled weekend at Brian's HD. The parking lot was packed. It was the semi-annual fashion show at Brian's but was there another reason for the extraordinary crowd? |
![]() |
Could it have been the free T-Shirts that Elite L.A.P members were handed upon registration? |
![]() |
Maybe it was the complimentary snacks and drinks available upstairs? Incidentally, they ran out of beer not long after Bob was seen at the bar. :8) |
![]() |
Aha! Maybe it was Michelle Smith bringing in the crowd! (Joel B. - Expressions Photography photo) |
![]() |
Michelle MC's as your friends hit the runway. |
![]() |
Wow! What a difference a professional photographer can make to these photos, especially considering the minimal ambient light available. (Joel B. - Expressions Photography photo) |

It was a full house and even the mezzanine railing was wall-to-wall onlookers. |
![]() |
At the end of the show, Brian Bentley introduces his "Team Brian's" racing team, featuring Tom Ocasio - Driver of the Destroyer. |
![]() |
The evening closed with another exciting Live Auction generating thousands of dollars to benefit MDA. |
![]() |
Michelle, Brian and especially "the kids" appreciate your contributions toward a very worthy cause. (Joel B. - Expressions Photography photo) |
![]() |
... And Mike H. thanks his wife Corless, for letting him be in a photo with Michelle. Mike says the slightly blurry photo was because his wife took it. Did he mean that she isn't good with cameras or she intentionally corrupted the focus? :8) (Corless H. photo) |
![]() |
The events continued into Sunday with Brian's HD hosting the Polar Bear Club. Brian provided free lunch to the attendees, something the Polar Bears don't get at any other destination. This is the second from last PB ride of the year. You can learn more about this seasonal club on the Bucks HOG web site. |
![]() |
There's some mighty interesting bikes at many of the Polar Bear meets, but the WebMaster does not recommend this one for obvious reasons. :8) |
![]() |
Sunday the 2nd. brought on some more spring-like weather so after signing in for Polar Bear, many headed down to AC, for the bike show. |
![]() |
Some came for the show bikes, some came to see Michelle Smith again, and some came to say hi to our friends at Brian's booth at the show. |
![]() |
What do you think. Is this bike screaming out for Kenny S.? |
![]() |
There was actually a section of women's bikes at the show. The "Unknown Chauvinists" was there and overheard making comments about how you can identify the "girlie bikes" as the ones that have automatic transmissions. He was right though, all of the ones in this section did. |
| Saturday March 18, marked the last "Biker Bingo" of this season as we near the WARM weather activities we've been waiting for. | ![]() |
| Hey, you can't play "Biker Bingo" on that PDA, "Moose" is live! | ![]() |
| Megan Y. (R), has become a familiar face, staffing the MDA Cafe. Today we enjoyed Hot Dogs and Kielbasa. | ![]() |
![]() |
Saturday March 11 saw a flurry of motorcycles coming out for the record breaking 70 degree weather and sun in March. A trio of riders headed to Bloomsburg for Bill's Bike Barn. We're going to try to arrange a club ride to Bill's this summer. Stay tuned! |
![]() |
This place is incredible. Take it from someone who has seen the Official Harley Archives, Bill's may not have as extensive a collection as the archives, but the presentation is a MUST SEE! There's so much, you just don't which way to go next. |
![]() |
This was an exciting find for the WebMaster. Previously, I always dreaded getting too old to hang on to the handlebars. |
![]() |
And Joe "Black" who doesn't take any S... from anyone, ponders the damage he could do by getting in peoples faces with this little number. |
![]() |
Aside from Harley memorabilia which covers not only the floors, but the walls and ceilings, there's automotive and other collections of collectables. He's even building an old town complete with a bar from the World's Fair. Unfortunately, no drinks at the bar. For that matter, Bill doesn't like eating or drinking around his collection and gets real nervous about kids running loose. |
![]() |
Even the porta potty was Harley Orange. Hey, if he had another one, he could call them P-Twins ?! :8) |
| Saturday March 4, we enjoyed the "Dinner & Bowling" night that had to be cancelled due to weather, a few weeks prior. | ![]() |
| Dinner was at the 99 Pub near Neshaminy Mall, followed by a few hours of bowling at the Feasterville Brunswick lanes. | ![]() |
| You don't have to bowl though to enjoy the company of your friends. | ![]() |
| Or in the case of this small group, finally agree on a date for the summers big bike trip! That's Kate H. way in the background. She must be looking into that mirror again? | ![]() |
| "Mouse" bites her lip and lines up for that split. | ![]() |
| Mark was in the running most of the night with the high score. | ![]() |
| But at the last minute, Madeline slipped in with 219. Amber walked away with the prize for the low score. | ![]() |
| It was another fun night with the Bucks H.O.G. | ![]() |
![]() |
Friday, February 24, Brian's and BCHog sponsored a new event that's sure to become an annual one. Monte Carlo night was entertaining for all and benefits MDA. Only1Roma and Ken S. display the themed cake. |
![]() |
There was a variety of casino games such as Poker and Blackjack ... |
![]() |
... Spin the Wheel ... |
![]() |
... Craps, Texas Hold'em, and other favorites. And you could walk away a winner while helping to support MDA. |
![]() |
It was also simply a great opportunity to spend time with your HOG buddies. |
![]() |
Our HOG chapter is not just about riding and having fun, because we have alternative activities to bring us together, all year long! |
![]() |
Al D. was the primary organizer of this great event and throughout the evening he continued to be available to lend some tips for the challenged. I mean challenged as in; unfamiliar with the games, not like mentally challenged, I wouldn't say that about my good friend Janet B. :8) |
![]() |
Kate H. recreates that famous scene from Snow White; "Mirror, Mirror on the Wall". Actually she's pondering her choices for the Chinese Auction. |
![]() |
Beside all that fun and games, your entry ticket included unlimited refreshments and a nice buffet dinner. Oops, I guess I forgot to yell "smile", before snapping this photo. |
![]() |
Throughout the evening, volunteers from CHI circulated amongst the players offering Horse Race tickets and other games of chance. |
![]() |
"There They Gooooooooooo!!!" And they're off, while players move in close to the screen to see if they're the winner of this race. |
![]() |
And it was perfectly ok if you could snag a dance or two between the Races. |
![]() |
"Have 50/50, Will Travel". Rob McC. was in his glory. There were pink 50/50 tickets to sell, and orange 50/50's, and green ones, and blue and on and on. Rob even made that nifty little gadget to dispense the tickets from his belt. |
![]() |
And we also proved the old adage, "Take a kid off the back of dads bike and put him on his own Harley. The next thing you know he's smoking cigars and dealing cards"! |
![]() |
Hey, it was a great night! Hope you made it and maybe even won a couple bucks. |
| The February 2006 Monthly Meeting was held at Brian's HD where BCH's own Joel B. setup shop for a group photo. Brian's graciously provided Hors d'ourves which Joe H. was caught diving into. | ![]() |
| It was a tight squeeze but everyone found a seat in Brian's upstairs meeting room. | ![]() |
| Downstairs, photographer extraordinaire Joel B. stretches the film in his camera for a really big group of people, while Dan McC. looks on for some tips. The webmaster had to retake this photo because the a previous candid one was rejected by Dan and Joel when caught with their glasses on. | ![]() |
| Ha! You guys look fine with your glasses on. OK, the next photo is too big so you'll have to deal with scroll bars or get a really big monitor. It came out fantastic! Hog Tails better put this one in! | ![]() |

Another "Biker Bingo" photo this time from the March 18 game day. This month we had a guest Professional Caller, named Shelby sit in and give Moose "On the Job Training" in calling bingo games. (Tom B. photo) |
| "Biker Bingo" is a popular cold weather event and this year's series began Saturday Jan 28. Moose and Mike are working the main table. Moose thought the bingo balls looked good enough to eat. They had to check after each game to be sure all the balls made it back into the wheel.(Tom B. photo) | ![]() |
| The ladies at Café MDA waiting to serve. "Biker Bingo" is fun for the whole family fun and lunch is available so check out the calendars for the next chance to play and meet friends. See we don't always Ride-To-Eat. Sometimes we drive to Biker Bingo and Play-To-Eat. (Tom B. photo) | ![]() |

| Editor Dave H. took advantage and enlisted some Newsletter folder/stuffer volunteers (If you're getting your Newsletter mailed, you could save these guys a lot of work by reading yours on-line). Dave was unable to complete the labels and postage before bingo started, so he tried to do both. If you find a bingo card in your newsletter, just ignore it. (Tom B. photo) | ![]() |

There's them Polar Bears again. Today's (1/22/06) destination was Sir John's in North Brunswick. But as with any ride, you never know where you'll wind up! |

After a great lunch, Dave H. took us further north into the Watchung Mountains of NJ. His plan included several overlooks but his "GPS" failed (he missed jotting down some turns) and we only made it to this, Washington Rock Park. |

This one made the 140ish mile loop worth the trip alone. At this point in May and June of 1777 George Washington watched the movement of British Troops. While difficult to see in the photo, New York City was clearly visible in the upper left corner, as was the Atlantic Ocean. |

As we turned to leave, we happened to catch a glimpse of GW himself over on the rock! Actually, that's our own Jim S. who writes: "I saw the pics of W. rock on the web site and it reminded me of a photo layout I did for a book on Somerset Co. New Jersey.
The day was foggy and you couldn't see 30 feet in any direction so the photographers could not get a good idea of the reason why Washington chose the rock to overlook New York. On a clear day (or night) you can count camp fires in the lower end of the city with a good telescope. You can even see what type of ships are in the harbor, all of the stuff the General needed to know. It probably took a lot longer for me to get there on horseback than the 'Bears' on their bikes!" |
| At Brian's January 14 Cabin Fever Sale, Jackie C., Al D., and Glenn D., are on hand to reserve your ticket for the February 24 Monte Carlo Night. This is gonna' be a fun filled night so reserve early! | ![]() |
| Pam offers patch consultation to her next patron. | ![]() |
| Tools of the trade of a Patch Goddess; tape measures, assorted patches, sewing machine, are at the ready. Two shirts slung over his shoulders and a denim jacket all need patches for the gent to the left. | ![]() |

It's never too cold for our Polar Bears but Sunday 1/08/06 began a short stretch of spring-like weather in January and the regular group swelled to about 20 bikes. |
| Happy New Year! What did you do on January 1? We rode *TO* Dale's Chilly Chili Run in Ogdensburg, NJ. Yes, that's snow on the ground but the white stuff on the roads was salt. "Captn. Win" M. remarked about his three day old Street Glide; "I love to take a new bike into the slop to get a nice base coat of rust on it". | ![]() |
| Ten bikes, mostly Polar Bear alumni, made the trip for charity, chili, and added points toward our Polar Bear Tour. Mike H. sports some face stubbly to block the winter wind during his extended riding season. You know he's a Polar Bear member since his beard is coming in white. :8) | ![]() |
| Rob McC got us to the Chilly Chili Run just in time ... just in time to hear the Ride already departed. When asked, Rob explained; "it left at noon the last two years". Silly, Chilly, Rob, never thought they might change the schedule some year. | ![]() |
