| Monday December 19 was election night along with the last Members Meeting of 2005. Election frenzy catches up with our chapter and rumor has it Doug spent 34 million dollars on his campaign. Not to worry, not a single tax dollar was involved (PS, the rumor source is not credible). :8) | ![]() |
| The meeting kicked off with a presentation from the Director's of the Red Cross to Bucks HOG for their multi-year support of the Bucks County Shelter. | ![]() |
| Dan McC. presents gifts of thanks to outgoing Director Pam S. for her dedication to the chapter and relationship with our sponsoring dealer. | ![]() |
| During this evenings intermission, members were treated to Hors devours. | ![]() |
| Meanwhile, Ken S. and Dan McC. are busy tallying ballots. | ![]() |
| After intermission, Pam S. read off the long list of names of this years volunteers while Moose, Mouse and Only1Rolma scurried around presenting each volunteer with an "Extra Mile" pin. | ![]() |
| Rob McC. and Dan McC. present awards to this years Chapter Challenge finalists. "Most Overall Miles" 20,518 by Wayne B., "Furthest From Brian's" 2,118 by Andrew B., and "Call Your Miles" 18,135 by Mike D. Rob also presented Wayne with the "Golden Gas Can" (inset photo) | ![]() |
| Dave H. is presented an award in appreciation of his outstanding service in publishing our monthly Newsletter. | ![]() |
| TJ B. is presented an award for his many years of dedicated service to the chapter in various positions. | ![]() |
| But the granddaddy of this years awards was presented to the granddaddy of our club. Harold H. for years of instilling the true spirit of riding. This, the "Hummel Spirit of Riding" will become an annual award for years to come. | ![]() |
| Elaine and Lee K. are presented "Member(s) of the Year" and the surprise and appreciation on Elaine's face is priceless. They certainly deserve it for ongoing dedication and volunteering. | ![]() |
| The ballots are totaled and Pam S. presents your 2006 PO's, Joanne "Mouse" S. (Treasurer), Doug S. (Asst. Director), Tom "Moose" S. (Director) and "Only1" Rolma S. (Secretary). | ![]() |
| Your 2006 Board of Directors, Pam S., Mike "Taz" A., Glenn D., Al D., Al G. (not present), "Purple" Dave P., Bill Y., and Kathleen W-H. | ![]() |
| No "Moose" isn't singing a love song, but rather Pam S. trying out the gavel she was presented on "Mooses" head. | ![]() |
| The meeting closed with the 50/50 drawings and in the spirit of the holidays, even "The Grinch" walked away with a present. | ![]() |
![]() |
Saturday December 17 was the annual Customer Appreciation Party, compliments of Brian's HD. Judy and Denise cooked all night to present this fine luncheon for Brian's customers. |
![]() |
Everyone enjoys their lunch and Santa was on hand for photos and last minute orders. |
![]() |
Downstairs, HOG Members staffed the MDA Gift Wrapping, Bake Sale and greeted customers and friends as they entered with wide opened arms. |
| The snow put a hurtin' on the Polar Bear run of December 11 to Snydersville. Dave H. sent this photo with the caption "Only 5 Real Polar Bears" and something about everyone else being wussies. (Dave H. photo) | ![]() |

On Saturday December 10, despite the season's first substantial snow fall only a day before, several BC HOG members (AND TWO on Bikes) braved it to St. Mary's clinic for the toy drive. |
![]() |
Members fill the room with toys. |
![]() |

![]() |
Santa was there handing out toys in a cozy home-like atmosphere. |

Outside members line up for the "class photo". Thank goodness for Rob McC. - how do we manage to back-up without him. :8) |

2005 St. Mary Children's Clinic. |
![]() |
Participants were invited back to Brian's HD for free lunch. MDA Gift Wrapping and Bake Sales were in full swing. |
![]() |
Santa beat us back from St. Mary's clinic and was upstairs at Brian's taking holiday requests and posing for photos. |
![]() |
BCH Member Joel B. had his crew on-hand offering professional prints. We caught him by surprise when he remarked "nobody ever takes MY picture". |
| Saturday December 3, was the annual Bucks HOG Chapter Holiday Party. Ken and (Only1) Rolma S. confirm that there were great Hors devours. (Donna D. photo) | ![]() |

Dave D. sends us a couple photos from Kyrgyzstan. He writes; "We’re expecting snow this week but who knows with this weird weather". |
![]() |
Congratulations to Dave and his promotion to Staff Sergeant. |
| Saturday, October 12 was the Bucks County H.O.G annual "Charity Begins at Home" ride to the Red Cross Shelter in Levittown. | ![]() |
| Mother Nature provided a spectacular Fall day and BCH members came out in droves. | ![]() |
| . | ![]() |
| I usually try to avoid scroll bars but there were just too many bikes to shrink to a smaller format. They were still coming in when the previous photo was snapped, followed by Brian's p/u loaded with gifts. Residents and riders soon greeted one another. |
![]() |
| BCH PO's make a presentation to the Shelter Director. | ![]() |
| Of course the kids just love to sit on the Harley's. | ![]() |
| Al Z. tries real hard to smile through gritting teeth. Al's wife Judy, started Al's bike and the kids were having a blast revving that normally air cooled engine into the Red Line. Judy whispers to herself; "I'm a dead woman, now". | ![]() |
| Participants and residents line up for lunch provided by McCaffery's and Brian's. | ![]() |
| There's Pam S. and Jackie C. helping out on the food line. I asked Jackie if she read the Job Description before joining Brian's. Besides helping serve, she drove the pick-up from Brian's and the previous night she did an awesome job conducting the Fashion Show at Brian's. | ![]() |
| And a Big Thank You to this group from Burlington HOG for their generous contribution and participation in our annual drive. | ![]() |
| Class Photo. | ![]() |

Friday October 11 was Brian's HD semi-annual Fashion Show. Elite LAP members enjoyed a Cocktail Party in advance of the show. |
![]() |
. |
![]() |
It was fun mingling with friends, surrounded by lots of Harley's. Dave H. and Penny B. admire an Ultra identical to one Penny used to own, except her's never looked so good. :8) |
![]() |
This year seating was in the showroom, but still not a vacant seat remained. |

It's great seeing all your HOG buddies along with friends from Brian's, strutting down the runway. (Al G. photos) |

There's even a part for your friend's kids and pets in this show. (Al G. photos) |

Jackie C. of Brian's HD did a great job conducting this years show. |
![]() |
The mezzanine provided an interesting birds eye view of the show. |

All the models come out for a final bow. |
| Sunday, October 30 began the 2005-2006 Polar Bear Season and with plenty of sun, there was a good turnout at the regular starting point, Langhorne McDonalds. | ![]() |
| You don't have to be a manly man to ride with The Polar Bear Club and the smile on Penny B. proves that woman can enjoy it just as much as the girly men (haha) in our group. Seriously, with good leather and especially adding a heated jacket and gloves makes the ride every bit as enjoyable (if not more) than a hot summer day. | ![]() |
| At this weeks destination, Cape May VFW, you can see there's hundreds of others enjoying the Polar Bear club. | ![]() |
![]() |
Saturday October 29 and there's that little Angel, Jackie C. of Brian's HD. From the looks of the other ladies working the check-outs, it must be Brian's annual Halloween Party. |
![]() |
Upstairs, Bucks Hog volunteers opened the MDA Cafe for lunch with "Mouse" in costume disguised as ... a Mouse! |
![]() |
There's Moose outside working the Hot Dog grill and since he doesn't have his antlers on, but is wearing latex gloves, we have to guess he's dressed up as a doctor for Halloween. I wouldn't stand to close or bend over while he has he's playing doctor! |
| Here's an interesting photo sent in by The "Unknown Chauvinists". New members may have never heard of him but the photo pages of a few years back lend some clues. Anyway, "Unknown" happened upon this sign recently and thought the Polar Bear riders might want to check out that sermon on the way back from Cape May. | ![]() |
![]() |
Saturday October 15 was the annual Coopersburg Toy Run which BC HOG participates in. Here's some of the volunteers all set to help the HOGs to a complimentary lunch. (Barry H. photo) |
![]() |
Everyone was so excited to see Santa that we could only get a picture of the bikes. (Barry H. photo) |
![]() |
Notice that this photo starts at the same bike where the previous photo ended. Our guess is there was just too much more subject to squeeze a bunch of bikes AND Moose in one photo? (Barry H. photo) |
![]() |
Of course Santa's Harley is RED!! (Barry H. photo) |
![]() |
Looks like a respectable turnout (until you look at the next photo). (Barry H. photo) |
![]() |
Wow, that's an incredible turnout! (Barry H. photo) |
![]() |
Some familiar BC Hogs. (Barry H. photo) |
![]() |
OK Santa, you have your work cut out for you now. (Barry H. photo) |
| Bristol Bike Night was held Saturday October 1, this year. As you can see on the banner, Brian's HD is a significant sponsor of this event. | ![]() |
| While the date of this event has been inconsistant, the growing popularity has been steadily increasing. | ![]() |
| One thing we can't increase is Rob McC's presence everywhere, seen here with the gang at Brian's HD booth. | ![]() |
![]() |
Saturday September 24, Bucks HOG made it's annual pilgrimage to Waterman's in Rock Hall MD, to put a hurtin' on the crab population. (Tom B. photo) |
![]() |
Here's the group seated at the second of two tables of hungry Hoggers, pondering the choices.(Tom B. photo) |
![]() |
This group didn't even have to open their menus, they're know what they want, they're having CRABS (of course)! (Tom B. photo) |
![]() |
The crabs are served and there's some Serious Carnage at this table. (Tom B. photo) |
![]() |
Kathy W. is taking no prisoners. If you've done anything to annoy her lately, you can bet she's mumbling your name with every swing of the mallet. (Tom B. photo) |
![]() |
"Fletch" at work. "Fletch" took time to give instructions on how to shell a crab to a number of members. Some members just watched the master at work. Later, while most of the group saddled-up to leave for home, the mallets of "fletch" and Jim U. could be heard still tapping away. (Tom B. photo) |
![]() |
Jim U. going head to head with "Fletch" and Mike's looking a little scared being so close to two of the most voracious crab eaters known. That's right Mike, just keep your hands and any loose clothing away from the kill zone and you'll be ok. (Tom B. photo) |
![]() |
Tom B. calls this; "The required Rob McC picture". Good thing he's there though, he's the only one that appears to be having fun at that table. On the other hand, maybe the others are just pretending they don't know him. (Tom B. photo) |

2005 BCH Crab Run - "Class Photo". (Tom B. photo) |
| "Watch The TramCar!". September 8, 9 & 10 was the NJ HOG Rally, again this year in Wildwood, NJ. | ![]() |
| Wildwood provides a great setting with endless activities. There's morning bike riding on the Boardwalk. | ![]() |
| Visits to the local dealers are a must at any rally, where members like Joe "Black" can stop and grab a couple items. | ![]() |
| This group makes it a point to ride to the Cape May Ferry port for some refreshments at the dockside "Rock Pile" bar. Say "hi" to Pat, our regular bartender. | ![]() |
| Be sure to stroll the Victorian homes at Cape May in all their splendor. | ![]() |
| There's exciting things for the guys to do while their dates spend money shopping in the quaint Cape May Village. And yes, they are black socks but I don't care. | ![]() |
| Nighttime brings on the festivivities of the Boardwalk. | ![]() |
| Wildwood is one of the best family rallies with plenty of things for the children to do, like these kids playing water games. | ![]() |
| Of course there's the antics in front of the Bolero, but you might want to leave the kids home for that. | ![]() |
| Where else can you ride your motorcycle in a parade on the Boardwalk. (Mike H. photo) | ![]() |
| And there's thousand of motorcycles to look at. Here's Andrew H. (photographers son) in front of a "Trike". Andrew says; "I want my mom to buy a trike so she will ride because she's scared to ride a 2 wheel motorcycle". (Mike H. photo) | ![]() |
| Kate H. and some frinds attended the Haunted Dinner Show in Cape May. She appears to be crying after having a 'judges' hat dropped on her head. Most likely it's because the show was dreadful, we wouldn't recommend it. | ![]() |
| Here's the Bucks HOG "Class photo" from Wildwood. There were many other attendees but the afternoon photo time seems to conflict with other activites. (Mike H. photo) | ![]() |
| Here's the "Class Photo" from the National Rally in Chattanooga. Gee must have been a "class" from a very small one room schoolhouse, huh? Tom B. forwarded the photo with the the disclaimer: "I hope I got everyone in the shot". (Tom B. photo) | ![]() |
| Thursday 8/25, a group rode to Freehold, NJ, to enjoy the monthly / summer, Kruz Nite. This event is a mixture of motorcycles, cars and vendors in a great atmosphere. The weather was unseasonably superb. | ![]() |
| Rumor has it, the event will be curtailed next year, so if you've never attended Kruz Nite, you have one more chance this year (September). Disregard that Shameful Joe H. While his lovely wife Terry toils at home, he's out gallivanting with some other cute girl. | ![]() |
| Later during dinner at a pizza shop, we see Joe H. again, trying to impersonate an oriental person so he won't be recognized. Geez, that girl looks young enough to be his daughter!! Oops, never mind, our mistake, that is Joe's daughter, Maria. | ![]() |
![]() |
Saturday, August 20, Brian's HD presented Biker Billy and his Fiery Fest Cooking Show. |
![]() |
Biker Billy is an excellent entertainer and the facility was packed. |
![]() |
Billy selected several people from the audience to help prepare his concoction, with a big helping of humor. |
![]() |
There was plenty of good HOT food for the audience during the show. |
![]() |
Biker Billy doesn't take any shenanigans though. Trouble makers are dealt with a mouthful of hot. Hey! Is that Wille G. in the background?! :8) |
![]() |
After the show, Billy greeted the guests and signed cook books |
| BC (& other chapter) members Flooded Johnstown with HOGs for the 2005 PA Rally. This group outside of the Oklahoma House, which housed survivors after the flood. Inside the Flood Museum, visitors view a moving video and trace the flood on a lighted map. In the Discovery Center, members hold up their immigration cards. | ![]() |
| Say "Hi" to the group that rode up Friday from Brian's, checking into their motel before heading over to the rally. (Jackie C. photo) | ![]() |
| The Friday Brian's group registers at the host hotel (Johnstown Holiday Inn). Yes, it was hot and Dan McC. does a little hydrating. (Jackie C. photo) | ![]() |
| Outside the HI, Dan is still preaching good hydration skills as the group prepares to enjoy the events. On second thought, could Dan be teasing the others by holding the bottles higher than they can reach? :8) (Jackie C. photo) | ![]() |
| After the flood, the city built this incline (funicular) to escape to higher ground. Not that it could ever be used to evacuate the city in time, but it's a nice way to get your scooter to the top! | ![]() |
| The view from the top of the incline gives you a chill when you realize Johnstown was just a big bowl to trap the flood water in. (Jackie C. photo) | ![]() |
| The Friday / Brian's group pauses at the summit station for a group photo. (Jackie C. photo) | ![]() |
| The Johnstown area provides an endless array of scenic country roads not to mention dozens of historic places to visit. Here at Grandview Cemetery, members visit the Monument and hundreds of grave stones of the "unknown" who were never identified after the flood. | ![]() |
| Friday they headed south to the Quecreek Mine Rescue site and "Flight 93" memorial. Have you noticed this group is getting larger by the moment? (lower photo L-R, Tom B., Dave H., John B., Al Z., Judy Z., Joe "Black", Kate H., Penny B., Bill M.) | ![]() |
| Everyone agreed, the Frank Lloyd Wright masterpiece home, "Fallingwater", in Ohiopyle, PA was worth the trip. | ![]() |
| Well, we're already in Ohiopyle so it's only a few more miles south to Falls City, site of an old mill town. Alas, we were too far south to make it back to Johnstown at the "revised class photo" time. | ![]() |
| Saturday was declared Mines and Trains day so we started at the Allegheny Portage Railroad where canal boats were once hauled over the Allegheny Mountains. This fit right in with the Rally since it was a feeder dam of the PA Canal which broke causing the Johnstown Flood. | ![]() |
| About this time, John B. cried he was missing his sweetie Janet too much and was going to end it all on the RR track. He survived his ordeal (no train has run there in a hundred years) and we continued to the Gallitzin tunnels overlook. | ![]() |
| The group takes another funicular (inset photo). This time to the World Famous Horseshoe Curve which brings trains up and over the same Allegheny Mountains that the Portage RR was built to carry the canal boats. | ![]() |
| Not far from the Horseshoe, the Altoona Railroaders Memorial Museum has excellent interactive displays. Joe "Black" gets ready for some "hands-on" interaction! | ![]() |
| Plans were to visit the East Broad Top RR, but our clueless leader of the hour (identity withheld), bounced the wrong direction like a square BALL. After a short hissy-fit from yours truly, we saw the Seldom Seen Mine, then to Punxsutawney to satisfy a long-time curiosity, but Phil must have been at a GroundHOG Rally. | ![]() |
| In the meantime, the Friday / Brian's group is taking some scenic routes home. (Jackie C. photo) | ![]() |
| . (Jackie C. photo) | ![]() |
| On the last day (Sunday), the group shrunk as some had to get home early. There was a stop at the Hollidaysburg Canal Basin, and the World Famous Roaring Springs, where John B. sampled some free spring water. | ![]() |
| And they finally made it to the East Broad Top RR in Orbisonia to enjoy a tour of the belt & pulley shops and a Caboose Ride behind a Steam Locomotive. It was starting to get real hot though. | ![]() |
| Continuing on scenic routes with a final stop planned at Gettysburg, the heat was so oppressive the group stopped at a park where they cooled their heels in a waterfall. That only acted as an appetizer so in Gettysburg, they booked a room at the HI to outwait the sun, poolside, before dinner at The Farnsworth. At 8:30pm it was finally time to close this fantastic, activity filled, half-week and head home just in time to avoid the wicked thunder storms. | ![]() |
![]() |
There's Jim S. rocking away a quiet afternoon on the porch. Actually it's Saturday August 6 and our annual Memorial Ride. Jim is waiting for the rest of the group who have stopped at this dealer along the way. (Tom B. photo) |
![]() |
OK, here's more of the group saddling up for the next stop - LUNCH - with a final destination to the Strasburg Railroad in Lancaster County. (Tom B. photo) |
![]() |
Lunch was at the Gap Diner in Gap, PA. With 32 participants, the group was so large, two tables were assembled to handle all of us. (Tom B. photo) |
![]() |
Outside the Diner, the group pauses for a photo. Notice a number of the members practicing a new hand signal first used on this leg of the ride. (Tom B. photo) |
![]() |
The Strasburg is one of the finest existing steam tourist railroads in the country. #90 an ex-Great Western Railroad 2-10-0, built by Baldwin, handles one of two trains operating this day. (Tom B. photo) |
![]() |
Across the street is the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania which maintains a pristine collection of locomotives and other artifacts documenting the history of the railroad. Outside is one of the famous PRR K-4 Pacifics. (Tom B. photo) |
![]() |
BCH Members head over to the Switch Tower and President's Car. "President Cars" were used by Railroad Presidents to tour the RR for inspections and entertaining dignitaries. They had picture windows, a kitchen, bedrooms and other amenities. This one boasts luxury of 1913. (Tom B. photo) |
![]() |
Tom turns on some artistic flair in his last take for the day. On the left is an old time snow plow. On the right is a photo from inside the plow looking out one of the porthole windows. (Tom B. photo) |
| Look at the trophy on that Harley! That big gold ornament on the back is pretty impressive too. Yes, that's actually the one I was referring to as Rob McC. arrives at the July Members Meeting with the trophy BC HOG won for Best Represented at the Burlington HOG Event. | ![]() |
| Brian Bentley surprised the group with hors d'oeuvres at the July meeting in appreciation for the support BC HOG provided during Brian's HD 20th. Anniversary Celebration. | ![]() |
| But we all know, BC HOG has a rare and envious Dealer/Chapter relationship so in appreciation for the sponsorship Brian's HD gives, Director Pam S. presents Brian with a token of thanks. | ![]() |
![]() |
The newest BC HOG Signature Event, the LOH / BC HOG Bike show, now on it's third year, occurred Saturday July 16. |
![]() |
Contestants first stop was registration where you could also buy raffle tickets supporting cancer research. Look at all those pretty trophies in the background. |
![]() |
Of course it's all about bikes but there was plenty of other activities. The Andalusia Jug Band was there to entertain us. |
![]() |
There were plenty of vendors. You could even have your picture with a snake, and there's Dawn B. at her crafts booth. |
![]() |
There were demo rides courtesy of Brian's HD. There were helmet stickers, lighting specialists, legal advisors, the BC HOG patch Godess, cutlery, messages and more. |
![]() |
You could have your Sportster 'lowered' by letting a huge guy squash a few inches off it. |
![]() |
Of course there was great food. |
![]() |
But most important, there were dozens of bikes being showed off to the crowd. |
![]() |
. |
![]() |
This one drew a good deal of attention. Was it the rust, the leaking fluids or the huge padlock? |
![]() |
Judges Cholo, Kenny and Ivan discuss an entry. |
![]() |
Winning this bike show ain't easy. Cholo zooms in for a close look, and when he's done ... |
![]() |
... Ivan and Kenny further scrutinize. Other judges were Al G., Ted S. (who also donated the event shirts) and Kurt S. |
![]() |
The judges had some fine looking bikes on display themselves. Unfortunately they disqualified themselves. |
![]() |
Hope you enjoyed your day at the Bike Show. Come again next year! |
| Sunday July 10th. was the Burlington HOG Poker Run and HOG Roast. Burlington presents a great ride and damn fine lunch. Here's the BC Group ready to ride. (Kathleen W-H photo) | ![]() |
| Some Bucks HOG Members enjoying the event. I think I see Moose & MICE! (Kathleen W-H photo) | ![]() |
| More BC people having fun, don't be fooled by the lack of smiles, it was HOT! Thanks to Rob McC for managing discounted tickets for Bucks HOG again this year. And yes, BC HOG took the Best Represented Club trophy again (with 63 members)! (Kathleen W-H photo) | ![]() |
![]() |
Taking advantage of Gettysburg Bike Week a group rode from Brian's Saturday July 9 and are seen arriving in this photo. |
![]() |
It only took Curiosity to kill the Cat but being curious about the business end of a cannon could be hazardous to a Moose. |
![]() |
There was the normal array of biker vendors. |
![]() |
Here's the BC Hog Class Photo at Gettysburg. |
![]() |
Oops, I confused that last photo with one of the vendor displays. Here's the real Gettysburg group shot. |
| Yes Harry, for the safety of our chapter and members, everyone must complete a waiver, like those in the background preparing for the group ride to the Blue Comets Clubhouse and Camp Joy Poker Run on June 26. | ![]() |
| Outside the Blue Comets Clubhouse in Skippack, Bucks HOG members line up for the "Class photo". | ![]() |
| Dave H. has been teased recently for sometimes going too fast. New Members, not to worry, Dave only tries to lose his best/seasoned friends and rides a more mundane pace when leading groups in his Road Captains "hat". This photo however, might convince Dave that he shouldn't rush so much and should check behind more frequently. | ![]() |
![]() |
Our sponsor, Brian's Harley Davidson / Buell, celebrated their 20th. Anniversary on Saturday June 25. |
![]() |
This was a monumental event with all the embellishments of a full blown bike or HOG rally, only in condensed scale. |
![]() |
Your first stop was "Guest Services" where volunteers such as Elaine and Lee K. were ready to help. |
![]() |
There was a long line of vendors and activities for the kids. There was lots of food, so much it was served in two locations. There were drawings and prizes. |
![]() |
For a contribution to MDA, you could Hug-The-Hog, and of course Pam was ready to sew your patches. |
![]() |
Speaking of hugging HOGs, "Moose" & "Mouse" presented photos related to our chapter (and more) and you could join on the spot. |
![]() |
VIP attendees could meet-n-greet Harley Davidson dignitaries such as CEO Jeff Bluestein, seen here with Brian's HD President, Brian Bentley. |
![]() |
There was entertainment, Big Name entertainment such as Rick Derringer. |
![]() |
The festivities went on the entire day and into the evening. |
| June 14th, nine BC Hog members departed for the Laconia Rally in New Hampshire. There they were joined by two more BC Hoggers and two from the Central Vermont HOG Chapter. That white backdrop at this scenic overlook along the Kancamangus Hwy is clouds covering the mountain vistas. | ![]() |
| The overcast completely enveloped the huge mountains the entire week. It only stopped raining so it could pour. Still, there was a lot to see so they donned their rain-gear (Gore-Tex is your friend) and headed off to places like the Raceway and a classic barbeque. | ![]() |
| White Mountain National Forest has lots to see and do. Swiss aerial cars, Indian Head Mtn., waterfalls, Old Man of the Mtn (site), The Basin and more. There was no shortage of water which made places like the "Flume" (seen here), even more impressive. | ![]() |
| Like our own Bucks County, New England is thick with Covered Bridges. | ![]() |
| Clark's Trading Post, is the quintessential souvienier stand/tourist trap from the 50-60's. Also known for their trained bears and steam railroad, it's a reminder of vacations when you were a kid. | ![]() |
| Everyone wanted to see a Moose. Eventually a couple were spied between blinks and on one occasion a Black Bear ran in front of the group. Also seen were foxes and everywhere the pine trees permeated the air. Interesting was this sign (above right). Does "Mouse" know about this? So we know of "Moose and Mouse", "Moose and More" and apparently (lower photo), "Moose and Meanie"! | ![]() |
| One of the highlights was the Cog Railroad, which goes to the top of Mount Washington, the highest peak (6,288 ft) in New England and location of the worlds worst weather. In 1869, the Cog Railway was an engineering marvel, the first in the world, a new technology of toothed cog gears, rack rails and tilted boilers. | ![]() |
| John B. demonstrates the incline on "Jacob's Ladder", the most dangerous section which clings to a cliff, by standing straight up in the car. It's a three hour round trip to the top and back. | ![]() |
| From the train car 3/4 up the mountain, the wooden trestle to the left is the beginning of Jacob's Ladder. The Base can be seen a little above the center, but the cloud's are still obscuring most of the awesome mountain views. | ![]() |
![]() |
June 14th., BC HOG members enjoyed a private tour of the York assembly plant. (Tom B. photo) |
| The Neshaminy Valley Chapter of the Antique Motorcycle Club of America, was on display at Brian's HD, Saturday June 14th. | ![]() |
| The left pane of the camera catches "Captain Win" browsing the line of old motorcycles. | ![]() |
| Just like that Action News Van, a few hours later we see the "Captain" again, arriving at the First Annual Burlington Bike Day/Nite. | ![]() |
| And a few other BC Hoggers find each other in Burlington. It looks like John B. is still trying to find Forksville, he's wearing that T-Shirt again/still? | ![]() |
| Security was high for this event. They even brought in Batman. Wait, that's not Batman, it's John B. in his bicycling tights. John sure does like to play SuperHero. Remember this one? Click here. | ![]() |
| The turnout for the Burlington event was huge, no doubt due to the quaint setting along the river and the great weather. We'll look forward to seeing this again next year. | ![]() |
![]() |
The weekend of May 28-29, thousands of bikers congregated in Washington, DC for the annual "Rolling Thunder" tribute to our nations hero's. While thousands appear in this photo, this is just one of several parades which converge into more than 500,000 at the Pentagon, then on to DC. |

This group started out 12 strong however one couple was forced to cancel in advance due to injury, a second couple departed DC early because of injury and the third couple cancelled in advance for a string of trivial excuses, but I don't have the ball's to disclose their identity here (hehe). |

CJ C. and George C. formally of BC Hog and Brian's HD are perpetually dedicated participants, never missing the opportunity to honor those who have given it all. They rode from Florida this year and always make a point to find us in the crowd. Rob McC. is simply everywhere, so you know you'll run into him despite the other half million bikers in DC. |
![]() |
This Marine stood in salute during the entire procession which is now over 4 hours long. |
![]() |
On a lighter note, Joe "Black" displays these elastic chaps he found at one of the "Thunder Alley" vendors in DC. Perfect for husbands and wives who want to limit baggage by carrying one pair to share. I'll play it safe and not elaborate. |
| Sunday May 22 a small group (Dave H. who refused to face the camera, Penny B., Joe "Black", Ray B.) shrugged off the heavy overcast and headed from Brian's all the way across US 1 to The American Cafe for breakfast. Then to Montgomery County for an enjoyable Poker Run hosted by Valley Forge HOG. | ![]() |
![]() |
Thursday May 12 was the first bike night at Carolyn's Water Front Grill & Tiki Bar. |
![]() |
Sponsored by Brian's HD this is an event to be enjoyed several more times this year. |
![]() |
Under the Tiki Bar, several BC HOG members try to hide from the camera but anyone can tell that's Dave H. hiding under that white lace thong. |
| Monday May 9 was the annual Motorcycle Rights Rally in Harrisburg. This important presence in numbers shows our elected officials that there are thousands of bikers who depend on them to protect our rights. | ![]() |
![]() |
Saturday May 7 a small group led by Mike H. took in several northern points of interest. Planned stops were Crystal Cave near Kutztown and Cabela's near Hamburg. (Tom B. photo) |
![]() |
Waiting for their tour guide at Crystal Cave. One might think the ladies were afraid of dark places, but the camera only caught the guys in this shot. (Tom B. photo) |

Tour Guide's, you knew we would need at least two, pointing out the first of many wonders in the cave. This one is the upside down three flavor ice cream cone on the right. (Tom B. photo) |

Cabela group shot. Notice we lost and gained members between Crystal Cave and Cabela's. (Tom B. photo) |

One of the many lifelike tableaus at Cabela's. Hey, somebody better wake up "Moose", he's dozing at the bottom. Oopps, never mind, it's another Moose. (Tom B. photo) |

"Mouse" as the High Priestess of McNally, presenting the Great Book of Rand to Road Captain Mike H. Mike, now wise with the knowledge of right and left lead the group back to Langhorne. (Tom B. photo) |
![]() |
Another small group, who wanted to join the Cabela's ride but were delayed by a surprise visit from John & Maryann M., from Nevada, are seen here at the Northampton "Spring Thaw". They were supposed to go to Forksville, but John B. was leading the group and, well, you get the idea. |
![]() |
John M. turned the group against Wayne B. by claiming Wayne's perpetual comments is like being pecked to death by ducks. Later that day, they got what they deserved. |
| Saturday evening, 4/30, Polar Bear riders closed out another season at the PB Banquet in Old Bridge, NJ. Kate H. hides from the camera denying the WebMaster any opportunities? | ![]() |
| It seems Rob McC. likes butter so after he cleaned his plate, he started on those little cups of butter piled in front of his plate. | ![]() |
| Rob sure can eat. After he finished the butter cups, he started on a plate of napkins. But we're not complaining, it kept him quiet for a few minutes. We learned why Rob rides motorcycles ... cause he talks non-stop and nobody can tolerate him in a car! We haven't decided if his new biker nickname should be "Chatty-Rambling Rob", "Butter-Cup" or "Trickle-Charger" (that's another story) :8) | ![]() |
| Also that night, a little Katie-Birdie whispered to us that Dave H. has a new medical condition. Now HIPPA won't let us disclose the details but Dave's new cycle nickname is "Diver Dave" and he was later re-gifted this Mr. Colon action figure in celebration, by Wayne B. who is happy to have company that can't eat tomatoes or popcorn. | ![]() |

Saturday April 24 was an event filled day at Brian's HD. Packets were due for the MDA RfL. "Patches Pam" was on hand (background) to customize your vests and jackets. |
![]() |
There was an MDA Bake Sale (background) and friends to meet. |
![]() |
These two very cool cakes, created and donated by Kim (& Michael) H., contributed $15 each to MDA. (Michael H. photo) |
![]() |
Upstairs there were several tables of items on display for the MDA Silent Auction. |
![]() |
These folks ponder the gift certificates available in the Silent Auction. |
![]() |
Outside was a weekend of demo ride opportunities. |
![]() |
Later that afternoon patrons check their tickets as the winner is called for the MDA Bike Raffle. The raffle generated in excess of $20,000 to MDA! |
![]() |
Jan J., the lucky winner and his new Harley. A great story proceeds this momment. He had been to Brian's earlier in the day where he bought his ticket. When Brian called him on his cell phone telling him the good news, he had to first rush back to the Honda dealer he just left to get back the deposit he placed there on a used Harley! |

| Congratulations to Ray B. and Trish H. on their engagement! | ![]() |

Sunday April 17 was our Annual Welcome Ride. It was a glorious sunny day which brought on a strong showing of members eager to initiate the beginning of another riding season. |
![]() |
Rob McC. takes a break from selling MDA bike raffles to log Chapter Challenge contestants. Be sure you sign-up for this fun contest. There's a category to give every rider an equal opportunity. |
![]() |
The Ride Captains instruct the group in some group riding basics. |
![]() |
We also learned that the Y.O.G. MC group (Yamaha Owners) disbanded recently when it's last (& only) member bought a beautiful new Harley. Click Here for a refresher of this story. |

. |
![]() |
Four groups each led by a different Ride Captain who followed the route of their choice destined for our destination, Przyuski's at Rts. 611 & 412, where we could make new aquaintences and enjoy the day. |
![]() |
Yes, somebody actually wore that Mohawk helmet! When we first saw it, we weren't sure whether it had a slit in it with his real hair popping out the top. :8) |
![]() |
From here, many members spilt into smaller groups to perpetuate a great day to be on the road. |
| Saturday 4/16, members were invited to Brian's to help organize and display, years of trophies and awards accumulated by our Chapter. "Mouse", "Moose", Bob F., & Dan McC. plan their attack. | ![]() |
| Jennifer S. and "Only1Rolma" S. work on the display cases and back wall. | ![]() |
| Brian's installed a nifty track around the perimeter of the room to hang many of the plaques. It's really impressive, the number of items including drawings by MDA kids, that are now on display for all to enjoy. | ![]() |
![]() |
It's Sunday April 10. What's different in this photo? Well, April 10 is still Polar Bear season and that's Harold H. backing into Brian's HD?? |
![]() |
That's right, Brian's is now a stop on the Polar Bear Grand Tour, and he put on quite a celebration with all-day discounts and free lunch for all. For those who are not familiar with the Polar Bear club, you'll find an explanation on our web site. |
![]() |
Polar Bears come from all around to a different destination each week through the winter. Here's a group from Edison, NJ. |
![]() |
Inside, there's the familiar Polar Bear sign-in table. Same people, different surroundings! |
![]() |
There's worry-wart Rob McC, with Natale and Richy. Rob's a regular Polar Bear rider and wanted to show the PB organizers what a great destination Brian's is, so he coordinated all the BC HOG volunteer efforts, but he couldn't stop worrying it would all work out. |
![]() |
John B., TJ B. and Mike H. take a turn at traffic control. I guess the word "Blockers" on the back of TJ's shirt is because they block people from going the wrong way at the "Do Not Enter" sign? |
![]() |
WOW, how about Dave H.'s new hair cut. Do you think he's trying to look like Bill M.? |
![]() |
Or do you think this is the look he's trying to portray? |
![]() |
Most likely, Dave just wanted to make damn sure, he never looked like this guy (yechhh) ?!?! |
![]() |
It was such a gorgeous day at Brian's, we couldn't help wondering where Dave's wife Kate was? Dave explained she had tripped on a firewood caddy and snapped this picture of poor Kate, her head still in the offending home furnishing. |
![]() |
Kate groaned she should be able to free herself and get back on her feet in a few hours so Dave headed to Brian's to enjoy the company of his Polar Bear buddies and is seen here checking out .......... ????? ......... the bikes. |
| Brian's Spring fashion show was held Friday April 1. (Mike H. photo) | ![]() |
| Rick S. returned to the runway (in crutches) with regular fashion show model, "Blair", who showed off the latest in Harley PetClothes. Blair's spotted underwear is showing, though. (Mike H. photo) | ![]() |

| Long time Motorclothes manager, Anastasia is relocating to Florida and "Mouse" presents her with gifts in appreciation of her help to HOG shoppers. (Mike H. photo) | ![]() |
| After the Fashion Show, Brian B. held a magic show and made "Moose" disappear from this box. Obviously I'm kidding because "Moose" couldn't fit in that box, so it must be the annual MDA auction and Brian is displaying one of the items up for bid. (Mike H. photo) | ![]() |

Saturday March 26, Brian's HD hosted their ever popular annual Easter Celebration with egg hunts for the kids and of course, Biker Bunny! |
![]() |
From the looks of the lawn around Brian's, Biker Bunny was already there hiding eggs. The camera catches Penny egg-handed. No Penny, you're way-way-way-way-... too old. |
![]() |
HERE HE COMES - It's BIKER BUNNY!!. |
![]() |
Biker Bunny is really a crowd pleaser and the excitement on the kids faces is unmistakable. |
![]() |
It looks like the little guy in the red jacket is telling Bunny what he wants for Christmas? |
![]() |
And they're off! The eggs had all been snatched up in a matter of seconds. |
![]() |
Earlier in the day, a group left Brian's for the USS Battleship New Jersey, BB-62. Here the group arrives at their preferred parking. (Tom B. photo) |

| Friday March 11th. was the second of three Biker Bingo Nights at Brian's HD. That means, at the time of this posting, there's still one more night on Friday the 18th. so come on out and have fun. | ![]() |
| This night drew a packed house. We saw wives and other family members we rarely see, so feel free to share some Harley fun with your family. The MDA Cafe was also packed with hot roast beef, sausage and pizza! | ![]() |
| Some of the little kids sharing some fun with moms and dads (yes big kids are welcome too!). ("Only1Rolma" photo) | ![]() |
| Rolma & Ken S.'s daughter Jennifer, displays some of the great prizes you can pick from. No, she's only displaying the prizes, you can't pick her. ("Only1Rolma" photo) | ![]() |
| The Webmaster, who has a reputation for catching us in compromising poses occasionally, wonders why Kate H. makes such an easy target of herself? The Webmaster thinks to himself; "no morphing required for this one"! | ![]() |
![]() |
March 4th. began the first of three Biker Bingo Nights at Brian's HD. This will be repeated Friday the 11th. & 18th. Richie, Terry and Jack are ready to play and play they did. Terry and Jack were the evenings winningest players. |
![]() |
Bingo! It's an easy, relaxing way to spend a few hours with your friends. Come on out and join us! |
![]() |
Dana C. & Erich H. are new members and Dana is already volunteering at the MDA Cafe. Did I mention that sandwiches and snacks are available so it's ok to come hungry. |
![]() |
Joe H. and "Only1" Rolma S. are this nights caller & recorder. Rumor has it, Joe arrived extra early since he loves to call Bingo. He's pretty good at it to. Speaking of Rolma though, is there really "Only1"? You see her volunteering at every event BC HOG has! |
![]() |
Rob McC. brought his lovely mom. No his face is not all wind burned from riding. His mom told me she always washes his face before he's allowed out of the house. Rob never does anything in a small way though. Leave it to him to be the only one who brought his own Bingo markers. |
![]() |
Oopps, looks like somebody lost a contact lens? No, this is a surprise prize in the works. A note was attached to some lucky winners chair and I see a little hand waving to the left! |
| Sunday February 27 the Polar Bear destination was Bahr's Seafood in the Highlands. Deja Vu Rob, who was mistakingly guided here last week by Wayne B. on their return from the Crotona Run. No photos inside Bahr's because it's a "Fletch" favorite and we didn't want to rub-it-in. | ![]() |
![]() |
Yikes! It's an alien invasion!! No, just Rob McC. bundled up with a Miner's Lamp on top of his Kazoo helmet. Huh? Yes, Rob is competing in the 2005 Crotona Midnight Run. Read about it in the March 05 Newsletter. |
![]() |
A little later the same day, still shivering Rob meets the BCH Polar Bear riders at the Wayne Hooter's. The inset show the coveted Crotona Medallion he and Wayne B. took home as finishers. |
| Saturday 2/12 may have been too cold to ride (matter of opinion) but Bucks County HOG knows how to have fun all year! We started with dinner at the Suburban. (Pam S. photo) | ![]() |
| This is such a big event, a reporter asks "Moose" to say a few words into the mic. Actually, in celebration of Valentine's Day, roses were handed out. And there was cake in celebration of "Moose" & "Mouse's" (Should I spell that Mice?) anniversary. (Pam S. photo) | ![]() |
| Once we get through dinner, we'll move to the Brunswick Zone for bowling and more fun. (Pam S. photo) | ![]() |
| (Pam S. photo) | ![]() |
| Savor this photo, that's Charlie "Sunshine" U.'s wife, Kathleen. We don't get to enjoy her company as often as we would like. (Pam S. photo) | ![]() |
| This event was well patronized and at only $10 for several games and shoe rental included, it's a good deal. | ![]() |
| An injured leg isn't enough to keep Chris S. from coming out and having a great time. | ![]() |
| And you don't even have to be a bowler to enjoy a night with your HOG buddies. (Pam S. photo) | ![]() |
| Watch your toes, there's bowling balls rolling all over the place! | ![]() |
| Sure, go ahead and smile now Rob, but wait until your mother sees that drink in your hand! (Pam S. photo) | ![]() |
| There's Mike H. with that "you can't catch me in a compromising photo" stance. Penny's looking quite smug, I think she still thinks she's winning. (Pam S. photo) | ![]() |
| Not for long Penny, Mark receives his winning prize from "Mouse". A prize was also awarded for the lowest score but we didn't want to embarrass anyone by disclosing who's daughter it was. No hints either because her father is a good "SPORTster". But he could be a regular (Polar) Bear, if we gave out any "clues", "news" or anything else that rhymed with their last name. :8) | ![]() |
| The first photo of this set mentioned; "may have been too cold to ride (matter of opinion)". "Only1" Rolma sent this photo with the caption; "picture of the only brave soul riding Sat night". What she probably meant was "only brazen fool". I wonder who it could be, but maybe that little cactus gives off a warm feeling? ("Only1"Rolma photo) | ![]() |

Happy New Year and congratulations to Dave H. on his Xmas present (to himself), an '05 Ultra, seen here in it's Black Cherry and Road-Salt-Ice paint scheme. Dave proudly exclaimed how wife, "seldom-seen Kate", was eager to ride yesterday. The 60+ degrees of Jan 1, was nothing to brag about. We expect to see her ALL THE TIME, now!
Dave was unmercifully criticized though for not knowing the unspoken rule requiring immediate replacement of that piece of tin on the rear of the front wheel fairing. A piece of aluminum foil is more acceptable than the stock trim. |
![]() |
The Polar Bears have had to deal with some radical precipitation lately. Two weeks ago the fog was thick enough to cut but that's pale compared to HUGE bird doodie! Jack McC. reminds you, windshields shield more than just wind. |
