Saturday December 20 was our annual Holiday Party. Attendees enjoy the hors d'oeuvres table. |
![]() |
NO!!! Don't take anything, you spoil the attractive hors d'oeuvres display! |
![]() |
"Mouse", Pam S., Jim S., and Steve I., will check you in and if you are a chapter affiliate, return you a handsome cash refund! |

Rich B. welcomes everyone to the good time ahead this evening. |

A little mingling before dinner. (Tom B. photo) |

There's Kate H. but look fast because several fast glasses of wine later she excused herself to the spinning roof of their car. Now we know why Dave doesn't let her out very often. :-) |
![]() |
Nick heads off the buffet line. Can you see what is wrong with this picture? |
![]() |
The answer to what was wrong in the last photo is in this one. That's "Fletch" way back there. He wasn't first?! |

"TJ" hired a couple of great comedians for this years entertainment and along with a DJ, was a enjoyable alternative to live bands of previous years. Notice how "Moose", hands on legs, is ready to spring up if the the funny man goes too far to roast any of his HOG brethren. |

| Judy Z. and Penny B. take their turn at the MDA wrap table. For a small donation to MDA, volunteers would wrap gifts purchased at Brian's or anywhere else, and in the case of Penny and Judy, will bore you with Bruce Springsteen trivia, as well. Word has it that Al D.'s son Natale "don't-call-me-Nate", wrapped til his fingers were raw again this year, then returned to staff the MDA Bake Goods table. | ![]() |

Tuesday, December 9th, was LADY'S Night at Brian's H-D. Now the idea is for the Ladie's to come out and shop for their men. But as you can see, we have a problem. That is no lady on the left, that is Ken S.! We ponder, did he think it was a night to shop for his lady or should his lady check his dresser to see if there's a teddy hidden under his boxers? This photo was forwarded by Ken's wife Rolma and somebody sent it to her, so keep that in mind guys, you never know who's collecting evidence. :8) |
| Saturday November 15 was our annual "Charity Begins at Home" ride, to the Bucks County Red Cross Shelter. Steve I. prepares the group. | ![]() |
| Residents of the shelter were waiting to greet us. | ![]() |
| While our changing society precluded giving the kids rides as we had in the past, they are plenty thrilled by the opportunity to sit on a Harley! | ![]() |
| It was a nice day. Brian's HD provided a lunch at the Shelter. Many members later returned for Free Lunch at the Dealership itself and to take advantage of "Double LAP Points"! | ![]() |

On Saturday, November 8th, Brian's H-D had their long awaited Flag Pole Dedication, to our nation's armed forces and veterans. The procession was started with the playing of the bagpipes. What an awsome sound!
The first to be raised is "Old Glory" in all her splendor. (Photo by Bonnie H.) |
![]() |
Next flag to be raised was the POW/MIA flag with all its somberness. It was a beautiful day for this ceremony, even though it was a bit crisp! (Photo by Bonnie H.) |

Standing at attention are some of our nations finest! From various backgrounds and branches of the armed services, retired and active. Hat's off to all those who gave to this country and even today by way of this dedication continue to give and serve. One of BC HOG's own is there. David P. - looking all dapper in uniform. You may remember David having served recently in the middle east. I do believe our club has others still serving. David is looking a little better than when we saw him last week in a Gettysburg hospital - a little more color in his cheeks today! Thank goodness he was out in time for this event! (Photo by Bonnie H.) |
| Dave & Judy P. (left) and Ken & Bonnie H. (right) enjoy the wonderful weather mother nature provided Halloween weekend. We rode to Gettysburg and detoured due south to Emmitsburg, MD to visit this wonderful monument and tribute to our fallen fire heros. As you may know, Dave P. is the Chief of a local fire department in our neck of the woods.
This is definitely the best Dave looked all weekend. Within hours after this photo was taken he was taken to Gettysburg Hospital where he stayed until Tuesday. The ladies got to ride the motorcycles home, poor Ken got to drive the camper back and we left Dave with the pretty nurses. (Photo by Bonnie H.) |

| It really was an experience seeing the various memorials from all the previous years (you can see some of those surrounding the main memorial) and one specific memorial dedicated to 9-11-01. You will notice that the flags are all at half mast - these flags will forever remain at half mast in remembrance of those firefighters that gave their lives in the act of saving others. In front of the memorial is an eternal flame that burns continuously. (Photo by Bonnie H.) | ![]() |
| Thousands of members of the fire service family have sponsored bricks on the Walk of Honor located on the National Fire Academy campus in Emmitsburg, Maryland. The brick walkway links the official National Fallen Firefighters Monument to the historic firefighters chapel as it winds its way through the National Memorial Park, site of the annual national memorial service. Bricks can be inscribed with a name or short message. Fire departments and fire service organizations have created special sections to honor their members or those who have answered the final call. Others have used bricks to say "thank you" or to remember a loved one. (Photo by Bonnie H.) . | ![]() |

Mother Nature must be feeling guilty about the rotten weather during the beginning of year and she's making up for it now? The superb weather brought out a large number of riders Sunday, 11/2 for the Polar Bear South Pole run and an excellent photo op. |
| Reminiscent of our Fall Finders Run, Penny and Wayne B. were invited to the November 1 auction of the mules from the "Miles to Mules" project. Held at Union Mills in New Hope, it was an elaborate event but sad to see the whimsical icons familiar from many rides through the county, for the last time. | ![]() |
| There goes "Mulevis" for a mere $1,400. Bidding started at $1,000 and most sold in the $3,000 range, but one went for $9,500 and another went for $16,000! We hoped to win "Gus the Ghost Hunter" because of his cow theme paint scheme but unfortunately he wasn't included in the auction. | ![]() |

The last weekend of October, "TJ", Vicki, Penny & Wayne journeyed to Vegas to visit our good friends John & Maryann M. We met at the Luxor where Maryann points out John's new hair look (yecchhh). |
![]() |
John took us to the Ethel M. candy factory where they had a nice cactus garden outside. Inside, John showed how when he retires he wants to get that job demonstrating how candy is made. Are those plastic hats a clue to where Charlie U. got the one he wore in Milwaukee? |
![]() |
Maryann was juiced up and we saw a little of "Pixie", but I think John's daughter looks a little embarrassed to be caught in a photo with skeevy hair dad? |
![]() |
I couldn't help seeing something familiar about this piece of art hanging at the reception. Click Here and see if your imagination sees the same thing. |

"TJ" ponders how clean John's bike is. John confesses, it's been too hot to ride. "TJ" also ponders why John has his arm around that young lady. Does John have something else to confess? |
![]() |
We didn't have time to rent bikes but we did rent this awesome little car. Next time you're in Vegas, rent one, they're a blast. Like when we pulled up to a Limo and "TJ" asked them to pass the Grey Poupon. They're easy to park to, but have a tendancy to turn heads at curbside! |
| On Sunday October 19, Bucks County HOG Members memorialized fallen brothers and sisters by doing what they liked to do - Ride. The New Jersey Lighthouse Challenge took place the weekend of 10/18 & 19. Participants drive to open lighthouses and receive a "trading card" at each, with an added prize for collecting the entire set. |
![]() |
As impressive as The Twin lights of Navesink are, we never noticed them before even though they're just above Bahr's Seafood, a familiar Polar Bear destination. |
![]() |
John B. enjoys the view from one of the Twin Light towers but once inside the light housing he tackled that guy in the knit hat (I'm kidding of course). |
![]() |
Once we completed the Lighthouse Challenge, we went on to Sandy Hook to explore the old artillery bunkers of Fort Hancock. There are many from various periods of military history. Apparently, one might see some other "big guns" when the weather is not so "unsuitable"? |

Hi Everyone, Thought you might get a hoot out of this ... a well-known food sculptor in Iowa (where Jim and I are from) always exhibits at the Iowa State Fair ... this year, she did a VROD in honor of the 100th. It's Butter! (Pam S. Photo) |
| Sunday August 10, John and Maryann M. drive in to meet the Breakfast Rider's (inset) before turning and leaving Brian's for the last time. | ![]() |
| Friday night 8/8 some of the girls joined Maryann M. at a Comedy Club, while the guys got together for a ride to Freehold. Joe "Black's" bike was getting serviced so John M. offered him a ride. Only after Joe got off did we see the T-Shirt, wise-guy John was wearing. | ![]() |
| Now that John & Maryann M. have announced they're leaving us, they apparently think they can ignore good H.O.G policy! Maryann on her new Sportster not only in shorts, but bare feet! Then John chooses to embarrasses the men he rides with in those high-water jeans and "skippy" sneakers. John looked so much the Nerd, a deer litterally stood at the berm of the road to catch a glimpse. Just kidding guys, Best wishes with your new bike (Maryann didn't even have the motor running, but John really did go out looking like a geek). | ![]() |

Friday night (7/18) a hardy group of 8 teams headed to Central PA for some great roads and the Inter-Club picnic at Knoebels. Here at the intersection of I-80 and the PA Tpk, they have survived the worst of some predicted storms. The rest of the weekend would prove to be exceptional weather. |
![]() |
Saturday morning, outside our motel in Lewisburg PA, we realize how cheap John M. really is. Who else would use a Heineken can to replace a damaged upper fork. |
![]() |
We headed north on 87, 54 then west on 6. We stopped at the Forksville General Store for some beef jerky, and a group photo in front of the covered bridge there (Sullivan county has the third heaviest concentration in the state). |
![]() |
We ordered lunch a few miles before Mt. Jewitt then detoured to Kinzua State Park. Jeff couldn't wait and ate his sandwich on the way. Watch out Kim, I think he's trying to sneak some of yours. |
![]() |
We enjoyed our picnic lunch and viewed the breathtaking Kinzua Viaduct and gorge before turning south to Ridgeway, the western terminus of Rt. 120, one of the finest roads in the state. |
![]() |
The bridge was undergoing a 12 million dollar restoration. Unfortunately, it was the last time anyone would see it. 48 hours after our visit, A/P released; “storms packing winds up to 80 mph caused the 121-year-old Kinzua Viaduct near Mount Jewett to collapse, sending most of it crashing into the gorge below”. |
![]() |
Sunday after another 120 miles, we arrived at Knoebels. John M. would have you believe that's Penny B. all the way to the left. It also looks like Maryann M. has the same hump shoulder injury as Wayne B. |
![]() |
Kim M. & Kate H. take the plunge on the log flume. Yes I know what you're thinking John M., but that's not Wayne and Penny in the back of the log. |

It's been said that members of H.O.G are part of a family. So it was that these members share a "Family Restroom" at Knoebels. |

Sunday July 6 our Breakfast Ride diverted to Burlington, NJ, so we could participate in the Burlington HOG Poker Run. We had a pretty strong showing (more than were caught in this photo) and we're still wondering if we may have qualified for Best Represented Club? (Tom B. photo) |
| No, it's not Milwaukee, yet. It's the June 17 ride to the Variety Club Camp in Worcester. If there's any question how much these kids look forward to our visit, check out this banner they surprised us with as we entered the driveway entrance! | ![]() |
| It started to drizzle as we neared the camp but the counselors opened their indoor ball court and we rode right in to be dry and comfortable with our friends. | ![]() |
| The kids circulate, checking out all the bikes. | ![]() |
| Members were asked to bring Polaroid cameras and "Fletch" donated film. Each child was given a photo of themselves with their favorite bike and rider to keep. | ![]() |

| Gee I hate it when there's a stray arm or finger in a photo that's impossible to crop out. | ![]() |
| The kids line up to judge the biker contests. | ![]() |
| Is that a miniature version of the "Happy 100th HD" in Jack McC.'s hat? No, it's his assigned number the kids will use when voting. | ![]() |
| We couldn't keep track of all the awards this year, but we're pretty sure it was "Best Bandana" Glenn I. is picking up? | ![]() |

Sunday June 15 we diverted our Breakfast Ride to Souderton, PA so we could participate in the Indian Valley HOG Poker Run. |
![]() |
At the end of the run we lined up for one of the staples of HOG events ... roasted HOG, of course! |
![]() |
The IV chapter reciprocates by attending our Poker Run as well as being a member of our Inter-Club group. At each of their checkpoints their volunteers reminded us they would see us at our Covered Bridge run! |
| The first week of June, members journeyed to Pittsburgh for the PA State Rally. One group followed the Turnpike to Breezewood then Route 30. Taking a short detour VIA Shenksville to the Flight 93 memorials, no photo could do justice to this solemn location. | ![]() |
| As to be expected this year, ominous clouds followed or showered upon us most of the week. Vicky B. despises riding in rain and layers on an impenetrable, water-proof, bullet-proof, covering just short of a hiijaab. | ![]() |
| Friday morning the girls insisted that we take a picture of them BEFORE they put on their helmets for the day. They whined that their hair is always mussed and FLAT in pictures. Yes, that was a dirty trick. Click here to see the way it should look. |
![]() |
| We headed to "The Strip" for breakfast. The Strip is to Pittsburgh what a combination South Street and Italian Market would be to Philadelphia. We never knew there were that many kinds of olives in the world, but TJ knows he wants one of them, one of them, and one of them over there. | ![]() |
| We've often pondered where this guy could have come from, now we know. EeeGads, could they still be in business and do you think they made more than one!? (The unaltered sign is in the inset) The hair you ask? When the "Unknown Chauvinist" recently told him his hair was a bit too long for the club, he said each year he has been doing something different and this year it's growing his hair all summer. | ![]() |
| Friday morning Bucks HOG members gathered for a group photo. Framed between two of Pittsburgh's most famous landmarks, "The Point" and the "Duquesne Funicular" and just across from Heinz Field, the location of the Rally events. | ![]() |
| It's so easy to make friends on a Harley! While dining in a place called Liberty Grill, near the Westin, a gent across from us decided to buy us a round. Later we joined him at his place. "Pat" is left of TJ and besides his place, "Christian's", in Finleyville, we learned he's also a funeral director. We were in no hurry to visit his other business. | ![]() |
| Saturday morning we saw this cool Superman in a store front window. There was something familiar about it, what could it be? Then it hit us, it was his RED BOOTS! Click here to see what we mean. | ![]() |
| Saturday night we dined atop Mt. Washington in this little place clinging to the cliffs and overlooking the city. | ![]() |
| The view from our restaurant was awesome and would be a vantage point for the fireworks. Unfortunately the fireworks were cancelled, but we had a fine time anyway. | ![]() |
| We took Route 22 home through the Juniata Valley and to the metropolis of Orbisonia, home of the East Broad Top railroad. The locomotive had derailed and a crowd gathers in the background to watch workers right the engine the old fashion way (before cranes) using only blocks of wood, a seemingly impossible task. | ![]() |

A group prepares to depart Brian's on 5/24 for the Rolling Thunder memorial in Washington, DC. But why does everyone appear to be laughing at John B.? |
![]() |
Why it must be his lovely RED booties? John was prepared for our teasing and quickly exchanged them for a black pair he had in his tour pak. He'll just have to save the red ones for a hot date some night? |

Despite the thousands of attendees, we were fortunate to run into "CJ" C., who recently left our chapter due to a relocation. |

| As described in the June Newsletter, Friday night dinner was a buffet which included steaks and whole lobsters. Dan M. loves lobster so he grabbed a filled server, and is well on his way to chomping them all down. | ![]() |
| Whew, nice work Dan! TJ has a his next plate of steak ready, but he's already holding his head up, I don't think he'll make it. | ![]() |

Rich B. planned a meet at The Hard Rock for a Myrtle Beach group Photo but what'ya do when you have a party and nobody shows up? Simple, you draw 'em in using a computer! You no-shows know who you are, and now we do too! Don't be confused by their curious, blank expressions, John M. wasn't there. (photo courtesy Rich B.) |
| On May 10, the LOH offered a demonstration in how to lift a bike from it's side. On Sunday April 27, the usual Breakfast Ride was preempted with a multi event Club Ride. We started with a great breakfast at Haycock Fire Company. |
| "Bald Jim" then guided us on the very scenic route to Rahns, PA where the Pennsylvania Live Steamers had invited us to a *Private* Run day. Thanks to PLS for having us!! | ![]() |

"Live Steamers" are miniature locomotives, most of which are powered by steam, like the prototype. The incredibly precise scale models take years to build and hours of ongoing maintenance. (photo courtesy Tom B.) |
| The 5 acre club site has 1 1/2" (7.250" gauge), 1" (4.750" gauge), 3/4" (3.531" gauge) 1/2" (2.500" gauge) track on the ground, as well as a permanent Gauge 1 loop THIS PHOTO (1.750" gauge). Gauge is the distance between the wheels. The “standard” gauge of full size US railroads is 4’ 8 ˝”. (photo courtesy Charles U.) | ![]() |

Wayne B. demonstrates the similarity between a Harley and a Live Steamer. Notice how we straddle a locomotive just like a motorcycle, engineers were often referred to as "Hoggers", and those foot rests on the tender are actually motorcycle foot rests. Owner / Engineer Lee N. doesn't agree that chrome foot rests would look better than inconspicuous black rubber, though. :8) |

It's April 26 MDA Packet Turn-In day at Brian's HD and participants are treated to "Bentley's Buffet". |

Say hi to Denise "Niki" B., one of Bentley's newest Bunnys who is related to the BCH WebMaster. Her dad hasn't seen her in her new environment so this photo is for him. We don't want to embarrass her, so for the rest of the world, please don't look at this photo. |

| No it's not Friday afternoon in the school yard, this is April 13 and our annual "Welcome Ride". Everyone gather around to hear "Bald Jim's" pre-ride safety talk. | ![]() |

"Bald Jim" is not incognito, just recovering from a little winter flu. Jim and "Moose", one of his Road Captains, remind you that they are seeking a few more individuals who would like to be certified as Road Captains. See Jim if you are interested. (photo courtesy Tom B.) |
| This fellow appears uncomfortable on that Fatboy, he must be new and inexperienced. Wait, that's "Comfort" ... he only looks inexperienced because he hardly Rides anymore, so look quick, you probably won't see him again 'til NEXT April. (photo courtesy Tom B.) | ![]() |

Since group riding is new to many members, during the "Welcome Ride", bikes are staged into smaller groups. Here one group is ready for departure. (photo courtesy, Tom B.) |
| Eorios, a familiar eatery to BC HOG was our primary destination for the day. This was also the debut of our Chapter Challenge game. Forty members registered their bikes. If you missed the Welcome Ride, you can still register VIA a Primary Officer, Safety Director or Board Member. |

From Eorios, members could enjoy each others company, some lunch and of course, more riding through the county on this great day. (photo courtesy, Dawn B.) |

This is not just an ordinary porta-potty. This is an *occupied* porta-potty as evidenced by the hand reaching out for help. Not to scare the new members, we don't block just anyyone's exit with tons of gardening equipment. We have to get to know you first. Click here to find out who it is | .
| Saturday and Sunday, April 5th. and 6th., Brian's Harley Davidson / Buell celebrated the official Grand Opening of their new dealership. It was a great day to add to your Harley merchandise collection with portions of sales donated to MDA and an opportunity to get a T-Shirt commemorating the event. | ![]() |
![]() |
H.O.G volunteers, Rick S. and Steve I. staff the MDA 50/50 table. There's still time to get in on this fun game. The winner will be the closest (without going over) to guess the number of Nuts, Bolts & Washers in the jar. Look for the "Jar" at the 4/19 Easter celebration at Brian's. |
| Outside, it looks like Bud P. is checking out the sticker price of this car. Sorry Bud, you can't buy it but you can see it during "Harley Nights at the Bridgeport Speedway (first one May 17). | ![]() |

Remember when 'TJ' "rented a motorcycle" for Vicky in Wildwood? Click here if you don't. Vicky complained that it was too tame for her friend "Trixie". How about this "Trixie", is this "Wild" enough for you? (Close examination of this photo also provides a clue to the identity of the "Unknown Chauvinist". |
| April 6 was the first Breakfast Ride of the season, however it felt more like winter. Not surprising, the few Riders who showed up were all "Polar Bear Regulars". Despite the temperature, the sun was in full force so on Charlie U's suggestion we headed to Mercer Airport. | ![]() |
![]() |
The Generals Quarters restaurant at the Trenton-Mercer airport bills itself as "Trenton's Best Kept Secret". It's a fun spot, great view and the Sunday Brunch was awesome! With April showers predicted for the remainder of the week, a smaller group continued on to Sweetwater Casino to make the most of the day. |
| If pictures could talk, you'd hear Mike P. saying; "Hehehe Fletch, your stomache will be growling when you see me here trying to decide between all these desserts"! The guys wanted this photo on the web site so "Fletch" could see what he missed (that's so mean). | ![]() |

High up on the bridge with a breeze in our face, it's easy to imagine the ship cruising up the Delaware. Or is that a cruise to the islands on Pat G.'s mind? |
| So how many HOGs can you fit in one of the 16" gun turrets? We'd like to take a moment to thank our Road Captains, "Moose" and "Fletch", the Ride Committee and the club for picking up the $9 each for parking and tolls for this event. |

Back on dry land, Bud P. and Terry H. ponder the fate of an unfortunate homeless man with no legs. Funny thing though, we saw him ride off on a white Heritage Softail. |
| After our tour we enjoyed lunch together at Tony Luke's. But there was still a sweet tooth to be tended to so many ended the day at Nifty Fifties. | ![]() |

Monday February 17 we're hit with the worst snow storm in seven years. Charlie U. who's a regular Polar Bear rider is unfazed. |
| On Saturday February 15, BC HOG members enjoyed a night of dinner and bowling. We started with a fine meal at Lamberti's of Feasterville, PA. | ![]() |

After bowling, prizes were awarded to the highest and lowest scorers. I wonder if Jon S's thumb-up is a premonition that he would take the prize for high score. |
| Waiting for our meals provided ample time to play another favorite, the "Poke fun at John M." game. Terry H. winces at the last zinger from Joe S., while Penny B. handles the pointing for this round. | ![]() |

Vicki B. shows us how eloquent and well behaved she can be. I don't think we saw "Trixie" at all this night. |
| Whoooooaaa, MaryIXIE showed up though. Hey honey, that's not your husband. Oh, you say you already knew that. | ![]() |

OK, now for a little bowling where we can work off some of that dinner. |
| Bowlers to the front, I guess they're the judges to the back? | ![]() |

We were afraid "TJ" wouldn't want to leave home. He just got a new big screen plasma TV, you know. But he appears to be quite content with his screen at the bowling alley. |
| Here we see Maria F. seemingly sprinkling powder to help Maryann's game. BUT afterwards Maryann goes spastic again. That apparently is the same pixie dust she sprinkled on Maryann at dinner. | ![]() |

On February 11, the Philadelphia Inquirer did an article titled "Reservists called up". Kim M., Sgt. Maj. that is, was highlighted in the article and in an accompanying photo. The following excerpt is from the article: Kim M. of Langhorne, Bucks County, was working as a civilian budget analyst for the Department of Defense at Fort Dix when she was mobilized for the 1079th Garrison Support Unit. An Army sergeant major, she helps direct the soldier-readiness operations that have been preparing thousands of troops for their overseas assignments. Her civilian job is being done by a temporary worker. (Reprint, in-part, courtesy Inquirer online) Kim also was featured on TV News segments |
| On Wednesday February 5, the "Coffee Riders" were invited on a special sneak preview of Brian's new Harley Davidson dealership. Even though the facility is still under construction, it took little imagination to see the state-of-the-art design and features to benefit all. (photo courtesy, Dawn B.) | ![]() |

| Saturday January 11 was our annual bus trip to New York. Proof that membership and participation in the club is up was evident when a second bus had to be added for the event. Here trip organizers review their checklist. Special thanks to Dawn B. and Pam S. for making sure everyone had a great time and made it back home. | ![]() |

The second bus gave members an opportunity to leave NY earlier so they'd be home in time for the Eagles kickoff. But this is the 'late' crowd and we haven't even started to have fun yet. |

As with last year we split into groups once in New York. Some went to the International Cycle Show, some went to a Broadway show and then there was this thirsty crowd who refreshed themselves at a variety of establishments. |
| Remember the photo of Bud P. at the 2002 Holiday Party when that "brilliant idea" occurred Click here if you don't, I don't know what it is about BCH members and places of refreshment, but it appears it's happening to Jeff H. now. | ![]() |

Yes Rich, we saw it fly into your glass too but we don't see it now so just go ahead and drink up. |

| It was so cold out, this fellow at Times Square made sure he had his boots on. | ![]() |

As well equipped as the Ultra is, it doesn't have a defroster?! I suppose Harley didn't consider the Polar Bear Club any more than the PB Riders of 1/5/03 considered it might snow this much on their return from Long Branch, NJ. Tom B. can take time for a photo now that he's safe at home. |
